As a Saints supporter you hate seeing one of your players involved in something like that. Watched Jimmy play for 10+ years and never seen him be anything but a tough but fair player and is known to be a really good person around the club. Obviously that was really poor from Jimmy and I hope Jy is ok. Totally understandable from Clarko. He must have been livid and feeling naturally protective of his captain.
If you say a homophobic slur is the same as a racist slur, Walker got 6 weeks for his racist slur, so Clarkson should get 4 to 6 weeks and not a slap on the wrist fine. If not, then the AFL is saying homophobic slurs are ok.

If he is the bar that is being set for the culture of the club, then that really tells you not only about the culture at North Melbourne, but more about Clarkson as a person. His premierships are just empty medals if this is the type of person we see wearing the medals around his neck.

The Toronto Argonauts CFL team suspended their VP for a year after video came out showing he used a homophobic slur towards a fan after a semifinal game three years ago.
