KUOPIO (PUIJO) TOWER, KUOPIO MARKET HALL (KAUPPAHALLI), PUIJO SKI JUMPING HILLS (2024) (4K)

For my only full day in Kuopio, it was an early start after enjoying an amazing breakfast at Lapland Hotels Kuopio. Fits stop was walking around Market Square, plus the Market Hall (Kauppahalli).
Then it was time to catch a bus in the direction of Puijo Tower.
Once at the closest bus stop, it was a short walk to the Puijo Ski Jumping Hills. & the realisation of needing to climb a lot of stairs to get to the base of the tower.
Being a chilly -26c the only issue with so many stairs, is the breathing, the cold actually hurts your throat, even if wearing a face mask.
The views on the way up to the ski jumps, and the surrounding forest were better than what the video can show.
Then it was time to go to the observation level of the tower, only a small section of the outdoor roof terrace was open, however the views were spectacular (not so much the wind).
There is also the observation level below providing 360 degrees of views, in heated comport.
A coffee and donut was also very much enjoyed, before heading back down and traversing all those steps again.
1 full day in Kuopio is not enough... I will be back...
