The floor pedal by parking brake lever, looks like diff lock, there's a pull rod just above floor under dash with black knob, looks like your decompressor. Throttle down is the way to shut it down. All mechanical. From the factory, these tractors didn't have a low idle stop. Made my own low idle stop, very easy and handy off of hand throttle on right side fender ala old style Caterpillar D-2
It never fails, any time someone shows a Belarus tractor on You Tube they have spent their life outside. Why does no one feel they deserve to be stored inside? Just once I would like to see one in good condition.
You forgot to mention how someone always says how bad they are in the comment section. Then when asked: "What model did you have", they answer "Oh, l heard they were bad" bought mine new over 30yrs ago, always garaged and all my lights are intact and work, all the used ones I've seen looked like they were used for batting practice
Than you for your posting. Just purchased the same tractor just like yours from the nabor who passed away 4 years ago it's been seating for about 4-5 years has 435 hrs on it so far i can't started with out starting fluid and soon 😊is I stop spraying in it's stops immediately . I pumped the fluid up and comes everywhere besides the 4 injections I'm not even sure about the dash switches and I can't find anything on CZcams. I wonder if you can post a video about the total start up ? Thank you!
I heard there is a fuel shit off. But as of right now I'm not to sure how the fuel system works ill see if I can make a short for u sometime. Maybe it will help.
My 822 belarus has a pull knob kinda like a choke that cuts the air off coming to engine to kill it or mine will throttle down enough to shut fuel off and kill it. I suspect this has same somewhere. also the pedal on rear floorboard you pointed out should be the differential lock for the rear wheels
Well the more ya know. Thanks for the knowledge for sure! I'll have to look into the nob for sure. I'm thinking this tractor has been completely apart before and maybe the throttle rod is set wrong so it won't die if u pull the throttle down. But ill be looking into it for sure!
He said it was a LTZ brand model T 40. I bought mine brand new in 1993(still have) dealer was in Maryland. Seems like air cooled were made in Russia, water cooled were made in both Ukraine and the really large articulated tractors were from the country of Belarus. All were labeled BELARUS. Dealer was a huge farmer and did use them on their farm. Wish they were still available 😞

Thank you for the knowledge! Very much appreciated.
Belarus - MTZ tractors are indestructible 💪🏼 dirt cheap yet puts any other tractor to shame! Russenpower 🚜💪🏼
Pedal on the floor is to turn both of the wheels in case you stuck in the mud
@@garyaymond2167 thank you.

I put a short video out for you. I @ you as well.
The floor pedal by parking brake lever is diff lock !!!
Make sure you keep the fan and cylinder fins clean or they overheat.
Just got hold of a 420 and had to dig out a mouse nest from the air cooler fins 😂
