It’s interesting to see the three crank gears all failed in a similar position. It was very lucky for the owner of the machine you repaired that the armature was un damaged. Keep up the good work Dean!
Vote for any length video that has sound/explaining in them. So much knowledge and even if some stuff repeats, it doesnt matter. Even saying aloud simple things likd part names and their purpose is interesting.

It never ceases to amaze me that people dont always tell you what is wrong with the tool. They just dump it off. You are perfectly capable of discovering whats wrong yourself, but would surely help, if the user told you also?
First rule of troubleshooting: Don't talk about troubleshooting. Second rule of troubleshooting: The customer/client always lies (even if they're not aware they're lying.

Really interesting on that Bosch 8 gear issue (@ 1:16:10) always failing in the same spot. I hope Bosch engineers watch these videos - they could learn a lot!

The most handy tool of all... the good ol flat head screwdriver. Not for the job it is intended for though lol

Hey Dean, what is the best way to remove the tool holder on the old hilti te 72?
Just out of interest have you had the Makita DHR182 or DHR183 in for repair or even on sale in the shop?
The 182 was released in (I think) 2019 so past 3 year warranty time and the 183 last year.
Loving the quality of service you give these Bosch hammers. They make the best SDS machines that need constant abuse well past the warranty.

That gear ⚙️ in bosch hammer is the comen one to break the resen is when the oring gets worn back hammer is getting stronger and stronger until that gear brake at suction strike
1:16:20 Definetly a design flaw, if it was a manufacturer defect it would break random teeths but they are always breaking at the same spot

Dean - I saw a video from Bendin with Bendon where he showed truck wheel bearings that are meant to run in an oil bath but had been greased. They didn't mix and the grease kept the oil off the bearings but didn't provide sufficient cooling, leading to bearing failure. Any risk of that happening on these oil bath hammers?

Would it be possible to use the bosch oil in the other hammer since it's a really good lubricant or would it leak the next minute it's done ?
sistem should be built to use oil otherwise it just very fast start leaking- not working proper

Makita is my go to. But it all depends on what tools. But bosch, hikoki and Dewalt are all very good also.
I enjoy watching you work, but these hammer drills baffle me, how does the hammer work, it’s just air pressure transmitted from the piston to the second piston in front of the drill bit?

i simply charge per quantity, if i use a quarter of a tube, then i charge the quarter of the price of a whole tube

Saw review of the Evolution saw the other day, I have the powered mitre saw, but me & the daughter are looking to get a table saw, we’re thinking either the rage, or the Metabo, can you recommend either of those, or another one at all please?

The the Metabo metal frame table saw is a very good table saw, very powerful, tough and lasts years.
The evolution saw is smaller and easier to move around. But not as powerful.
Both are very good in thier own right, but if accuracy is what you need then the evolution saw js the one

i acutaly pulled it out with a magnet, in one piece, before washing if out. But thought id better leave that part out incase soone thought it was ok to not wash it out

Looks like you're resubmitting old videos, you made the same mistake I seen you make before and the work bench sheeting is old again.
new video, just made it before i change the bench cover. The longer video take a long time to edit. plus i also keep a few to post at later dates. I dont simply post them daily as i film them.
Dean, can I please ask you to stop doing something? I hate being tapped and as it seems, I hate it when you tap the machines when you are talking about them. Can you please not do this?
you mean tapping them with my finger or with an object.
