      @@sharpcarco I agree, you can totally make things worse, but thats how you learn! I once had a dripping faucet in the kitchen. Needed a simple washer changed out. By the time I was done, I had replaced all the pipes and the entire faucet all the way to the wall under the sink... Every part I touched broke the one it was connected to. I learned a lot, and that sink never leaked again.

Making CZcams videos takes a lot of time and when you only make about 2/10 of a cent per view do you have to be resourceful and try to get people to watch because CZcams videos are based upon views and view duration just so you know when you’re watching them guys talk for a while they’re trying to get retention thank you though I greatly appreciate the compliment God bless and have a great day

      (Sarcasm) I think some people thought that I was also going to include the tool for free with my free internet video and they are very upset that I didn’t take a chisel and a screwdriver and a hammer and show them how to take it off with things that they would have at home . the unfortunate part is they don’t understand that there are certain things that require a specific type of tool to get the job done .And literally that tool is available at any auto store for about five dollars” will they ever use it again heck I don’t know” but it’s what you have to have to get the job done . You can't make everybody happy. Some folks don't want to buy special tools, but if it's less than ten bucks they should buy one even if they throw it away. The cost of labor from a dealer is just too high. Thanks for posting and I'll use this as a starting point for adding an inline fuel filter. My truck only has a filter/screen in the tank.

      Personally I would recommend making them. You could also call the dealership and give them your Vin number and they will certainly be able to get them for you.
      The auto parts stores probably won’t have the particular part you’re looking for but they will have components that allow you to actually make them your self. Dorman carries a large line of fuel line attachments and ends.
      Sorry I know that’s not exactly what you were looking to hear but trust me you can do it

    Do you have a video on GM van tank removal ?

    • @sharpcarco
      @sharpcarco  Před 9 měsíci

      No, sorry I do not
      Pretty cut and dry though it’s going to have two straps, holding it on which are generally 17 mm to 15 mm bolts
      The filler neck tube that’s going to have to come off
      You’re gonna need to be able to jack up the vehicle and also lower the gas tank down it’s not a fun job to do on the ground but it is not impossible. If you’re quick, maybe three hours four hours
      If you’re slow 6 to 8
      You won’t really need any specialty tools, but I do recommend that you use a pick tool to remove the fuel filler neck once you take the band clamp off
      Or you can grab a large pair of channel locks and twist the tube off
      Any rusty lines are more than likely going to break if you do break a rusty line if they’re made of metal
      Use a compression fitting to repair the lines
      If you have the nylon style lines, you can purchase them at just about any auto parts store so you should be able to fix any fittings that are rusted or not cooperating hopefully that information helps you

    Hello I was driving a little bit and the same connection what have in this video getting loose and the engine stop running so I was trying to Start my engine again and again so a guy who was walking by and was yelling stop stop because fuel was running on the street from my engine so I step out of my car I did smell the fuel right away I was lucky the fuel didn’t catch fire so we push my car away to a parking place because I was standing in the middle of a very busy street so I open the bonnet and the friendly helper saw it already the fuel hose connection was loose so I click it back on to the engine I did start the engine again and yes she was running again but my question is to you normally this connection can’t getting loose with driving .

    I feel like a dumbass. Me and my dad were changing just the line from the fuel filter back to the connector, which is only about 12 inches, and we spent 2 hours fighting it cause we were trying to use pliers to compress the clips. Didn’t know you’re supposed to use this tool on these also

  • @89psychobillyford38
    @89psychobillyford38 Před rokem

    Inaccurate. Those clips that seem like they need squeezed do very get squeezed to remove. I did it that way and worked effortlessly, plus I looked at the internal mechanism after removal and as you squeeze, the clips pull away. My issue is the other line doesn't have those but there is a small thin sliding tab that I can't get to release and can't get my fuel line till between the lines to release

      Technically speaking there is no way to get it off without the tool and I would assume without the tool you would probably destroy the line . The tool is really inexpensive and well worth it even if you don't use it ever again it will cost you more in grief without having it
