  • This video is about the aircraft carrier fleet that Korea hopes to have.
    South Korea was planning to build a small aircraft carrier, but changed its plan to build a medium-sized aircraft carrier.
    The Korean government is expected to finalize detailed plans by the end of this year.
    If the aircraft carrier is successfully built, it will be deployed after the 2030s.
    The detailed plan for the Korean aircraft carrier has not been finalized. Currently, only models provided by Korean shipbuilders exist.
    This video was created using DCS WORLD.
    The music used in this video is the music of MAKAI SYMPHONY.

    Don't know, I watched the past half the video, but why not mention the Korea submarine? They carry 6 SUBM in each of the Korean submarine. Normally, 2 sub escorted the carrier, so that's 12 targets

    How would KF-21 compare to J-20 in a battle do you think? Is it a match for any Chinese jet?

    • @milsimk
      @milsimk  Před rokem

      The KF-21's AESA radar and detection performance are expected to be close to the F-35. KF-21 BLOCK1 and BLOCK2 are not stealth aircraft, so J-20 is ahead in stealth performance. However, the KF-21 will have better electronic equipment and detection capabilities. I think it is highly likely that KF-21 will detect J-20 a little earlier. This was considered considering the RCS estimate of J-20. KF-21 is also superior in missile performance.
      I think KF-21 will be the one who sees it first and shoots it first.
      KF-21 is produced by stealth from BLOCK3. But then the J-20 will make a lot of progress.

      @MiG-31893 Před rokem +3

      @@milsimk also another thing if J-20 happens to get into a dogfight with KF-21 then it’s in big trouble. China tries to make their stealth fighter look “different” from western designs, however it’s overall shape is that of a slow and un maneuverable aircraft.
      KF-21 however is lighter and also possesses a 20mm gun which J-20 doesn’t have

    • @milsimk
      @milsimk  Před rokem +4

      The J-20 is equipped with a canard and thrust deflection engine to compensate for its low mobility. But their engines, as is widely known, have very serious problems and are not sleek. Also, every time you move the canard significantly, you will be more likely to be exposed to enemy radars.

    • @MiG-31893
      @MiG-31893 Před rokem +1

      @@milsimk the J-20 has thrust vector nozzles, however these don’t make up for its size and weight giving it tremendous potential energy, and while I have seen videos of the J-20 doing a cobra maneuver, it probably went into a flat spin afterwards! And also like you say it’s had a lot of issues with said engines. I’m not dissing the Chinese jet, but I think it’s a bit behind the F-35 and F-22.
      As for the KF-21 I honestly think it’s a great fighter jet, only thing I don’t like about it is that it doesn’t have internal bays. I know they are very expensive and complex, but I would like to see a 6th gen Korean fighter jet! Also would love it if Japan made the Mitsubishi FX I’ve always been a fan of Japanese aircraft

    Dang it seems that the simulator is predicting China's technology in its arsenals. How could they catch up with their adversaries then, and become an elite fighting force?

    • @milsimk
      @milsimk  Před rokem +10

      Because the Chinese military's weapons are underperforming, they will try to make up for their performance inferiority with large numbers.

      China can't make anything by themselves. Chinese letters found out that were made by some people from the East of China. Who is that? Koreans. Their tank, airplane, and engines. Look at their F35, Blackhawk. All the airplane engines are copies of Russians engines. Why do you think Russian don't sell weapons to china anymore. They copy all of them.

    The Korean's radars would've had better range if they were higher up on the islands.

      Yes, the deployment of aircraft carriers in Korea will not be possible until 2030 or later.

      @@milsimkThe Korean carrier and thr KF-21 is at the design stage. FYI. This South Korean Navy does not even have a budget to build a carrier. So, 2030 is too ambitious. South Korean Navy is more focused more on ships that can be heavily armed with air defense missiles, anti ships, as well sea launched land attack missile.
      The J-15 are basically carrier based version of the J-11,a Chinese made version of a base SU-27 Flanker. So, a more modern KF-21N with bvr meteor air to air missile would definitely win this conflict with no problem.
      Interestingly, the PLA did not coordinate their ballistic missile attack with the PLA Navy. Not to mentioned both their missile base and their air fields with surface to air missiles. Not to mentioned, I doubt they were launched a counterattack with one J-10c and J-20, especially when they are more advanced than the J-15.
      I have seen a computer simulation of a PLA Navy carrier battlegroup vs a US Navy carrier battlegroup. The US Navy carrier battlegroup still won. However, they suffered a large amount of casualty as well as lose of ships, more or less deciminated that task force. Ironically, this particular scenario did feature submarine attack by both sides. Even land attack missiles launched by both surface ships and submarines. Which the South Korea do have that capability, a large part of their capability is devoted that. Unlike this scenario, that other scenario did features attacks by PLA land launched ballistic as well.as PLA Air Force in configuration with the PLA Navy. While the PLA Navy carrier battlegroup still have the same J-15, that attack was also with large formations of J-10C and J-20 based on islands that are part of their first chains of defense.
