Hey everyone, I originally set out to do plein air videos but the elements got to me. The sea was angry that day my freinds. LOL. This was the best video and painting of the day. Should I do more of these? This was painted on Bockingford paper.
Yes please, but can you show up close how you carve out the trees w/the credit card? Do you use the corner or edge? Going to try to paint this one. It almost looks abstract. Thanks in advance!
@@SVNopq I just did a few rocks and trunks. I have several scraping videos. When scraping use the flat edge of the card for rocks and the corner for sticks and trees
This is my fave painting that you've ever done. I'm newer to watercolor (started getting back into painting about 4-5 years ago) and follow your channel. You are a Plein aire painter. This style of painting reminds me a bit of Poppy Balser, another great watercolor artist that I follow. Please do more of these. Love it!
I like seeing you paint and your commentary; I HATE plein air painting....oh, for so many reasons. I think of it like golfing....it spoils a good walk! Joe, stay inside and help us all become better interpreters of what's out there without battling the elements. All the best to you, Joe.
I agree although I think like Joseph Zbukvic says it (plein air) will help you become a better painter. I need to pick a better day and not block the camera so much
Sorry I mentioned that in the description. The day I set out to do this things didn’t go well and when I watched the footage I didn’t realize how much I was in the way of the camera but I thought I’d post it anyway.
