It's so rare to get such quality content without the video being an infomercial.
Thank you, Sir! It is purely a hobby.
Thats for sure ! Great video.
@@bosnianbill I’m surprised that you took three years to respond to their comment.
The fact that you made those drawings for the video is pretty respectable
Thank you! I decided to start taking more time when putting the vids together & try to script them so people can learn a little more about the lock and how to open them. Now, if only the locks will cooperate...
Nice pick and video very interesting and informative as well as entertaining! Thanks
I don't read Korean either, but I took a crack at it with Google Translate and got "공산품 품실경영 측진법에 의한 품질표시
품 영 : 보조키 뭉치
재 질 : 특수합금강, 고탄소공구강외
윈산지 : 한국
제조 만매읜 : (주)보성실업", or "Display quality due to industrial quality management Promotion
Product spirit: bunch of modifier keys
Material: special alloy steel, high carbon tool gangoe
Win Origin: South Korea
Manufacturing manmae uin (Note) Bo unemployment". About what you'd expect.
Thanks for Posting !
When those pins are sheer-lined, it's absolutely going to retain the key since it can't get any relief on the pins to release the key.
I've not seen one of them before, very interesting and well worked out.
Great job again Bill !!
You made that look easy, damn Bill your really good. I wouldn't attempt it even.
Great video Bill. You do it well.
Love the vids.... . Thanks for teaching. .
Joel,
No, a plug spinner will not work on this lock-sorry. You must either pick it counter-clockwise one time, or clockwise three times to reach the original position where you can insert the key.
thanks bill a very first hand infos for me. i do hope it can be plugspin saving time in repicking.
Great job very instructive video.Awesome!!!
Bill, love your videos. I've just recently gotten into locksport and I'm getting pretty good at picking. What it has shown me is that home security is an illusion. What lock, or Locks would you recommend to put on your own house.
hola buen dia oye me interesa mucho este oficio de cerrajería pero no se para que tipo de cerradura funciona cada ganzua me pues orientar...gracias
Amazing
I wonder if there is a better lock channel on youtube
I doubt it! This man is a beast... also, I think he is a secret agent like james bond.
VicariousReality7 Refer to the banks! Those are lock re setters!
Respect! You are a master.
This Looks like a Very secure lock. This looks like the " Future of Locks. " 12 pins Nice ! and Round.
OcRefrigeration,Hvac & Electrical. I live in Korea now I have the same luck with 14 pins in it nasty looking dips to it too
Another excellent video explanation, Thanks ;-)
sir: a couple of questions. 1) i saw the tailpiece moving as you started to work the left side, is there a bypass for this lock? 2) once you turned the plug 90 deg. it locked and the key wouldn't go in. is this truly because of an out of round keyway as you described or because there is no bottom bible and so no where for the the right side 'key pins' (now on the bottom) to go as you try to insert the key? i ask with all respect for your skill and knowledge, it just seemed like the more sensible explanation to me. thanks.
What keeps the key retained when turned? Also, could you alternate two tension wrenches for this one?
I wonder if one of those strong little round magnets would work as a tensioner; would they interfere with the pins?
im still working on this one, its a pain in the side for me to open. ill get it one day. thanks. and as always great video
Thank you Mr.bill for your info, it really is a cool lock tho
Would a little circle with high power neodymium magnets give enought tension?
Beer tap locks work identical where you can't stick a key into it when turned only partially.
The ring on the front reminds me of some locks I saw in another video. Those could be opened by removing the front with a screwdriver and then emptying the inside... is this possible in this one?
Very nice explanation! But how can it have driver pins at the bottom and be key retaining at the same time?
> but when you rotate the key the irregular shape is out out of line with the circular keyway and cannot be taken back out until you rotate it to the original position.
Wouldn't that require some part of the key milled away near the bow, where the locks warding could retain the key? But the key in the video doesn't seem to have that.
after you pick and you go to far as you showed. the pins on the right in the plug are still picked and that's why the key wont go in. so you would only need to pick the left an top bank in the reverse direction.. good job ...I herd in one of your vids of a 'medeco' lock picking. are you talking about the medeco cam locks? because their is a million dollars up for grabs from medeco for anyone who can pick their bi-axel locks.
bosnianbill . . . . all because of you, Bill ! What did you spend the $50k on ?? ;)
If the key is lost and the lock has to be replaced for the "customer" fill the hole with clay after you started to turned the lock it will for sure stay in place.
Tor Hal clever~ I was wondering if there was a way for something to fill the mold.. Just gotta make sure the clay is hard enough.
Bosnianbill >>> There´s something that has been puzzling my mind lately. I hope you can clear it up a bit. I know it might be a bit off-topic but still I think it´s relevant. It´s because I think this lock and the Galaxy-lock that I´ve seen you pick looks in some ways similar to the 209 Gerda Titan-lock. What makes the Gerda so much more difficult to pick? As I see that lock It´s a combination of pintumbler/tubular and dimple lock-types so shouldn´t it be possible to pick it allthough very difficult?
Looks like a good vise, do you know who sells them?
Nice work Bill great video Keep them coming. :D N.
Nice vid. I'm wondering if you made a hollow, circular tension wrench that put light pressure on all 12 pins, if that might be easier. I admit it wouldn't be easy to make, and I would only consider making one if I worked in an area that had many of these.

@@tequilacollins Thank you sir
very nice video
You can always just take two tension tools with You and pick one row, another and when You are left with the one that was locked with a wrench before, You just reapply tension to one of these that are already picked. Probably You would need to be left with at least two pins out far enough to lock Your tension wrench on them, but in the end You will change Your tension row and be free to pick the one that was originally locked by the first wrench :)
OK, OK, I'll send you the LSL lock. Geez :)
it has nothing to do with the offset, it's that one row that's on the smooth wall. once those pins are on a sheer line and moving the key is locked in or out, period.
Why not drill a hole through some thin steel and superglue it over the hole of the barrel for a lever, it wouldn't be permanent and easy enough to remove.
When I saw the tension problem, the first thing I thought of was a rubber stopper with a hole drilled in the middle. Example: www.midwestsupplies.com/rubber-stoppers-drilled.html (I do not work for or endorse this company, they just happen to sell what I am talking about). These stoppers are sold at wine/ beer making supply houses for less than a dollar and come in many different sizes.
You could put the stopper on the lock itself and provide tension, while working through the hole of the stopper.
Awesome
the way to make this lock a real problem would be a locking mechanism requiring a full turn or more to open
possibly with a 4th set of 4 spring pins at the bottom such the lock would need to be fully picked at each quarter turn
If you can get tension in the first place; it would probably be possible to make a plug spinner for it

What's that thing that he uses to hold the lock called?
a vice?
Austin Slacker ..or a vise, depending on where you live.
This is a $17 one that doesn't require you to drill holes to mount it. "2-3/4 In. Articulated Vacuum Vise" www.harborfreight.com/2-3-4-quarter-inch-articulated-vacuum-vise-3311.html . My friend is able to mount it to his wood veneer computer desk. Of course one that you can mount with screws, can be used for more things, but for simply holding a lock to pick, it's overly-qualified.
Lockman789 Wow, 6 years later and it is still 17.99. Make sure you use your 20% off coupon. I have a stack of them if anyone needs one.

Awesome as always. Thanks
"With a round hole how do you pick it" With a finger; your finger, a friend's finger, a taxi driver's finger. I guess it doesn't really matter whose finger aslong as it fits.
I enjoy your videos a great deal, but would appreciate it a great deal more if your introductions included ladies as well as gentlemen. We are a rare few, granted, but there are [quite adept] professional lady locksmiths out there tinkering right along with the guys. Some of us even trained the guys [I did]. ;-)
👍👍👍👏👏👏
i got a starter kit 1 from withoutakey website i can pick the lock but i want advice
Lopi Hub Thx

Read my reply to this guy in these comments. I suspect he's a fraud. Lots of red flags.
Tom Collins ahhhhhhhh gotcha Tom, his "school boy innocent" question to Bill was just to throw the company name out there ....gotta admit, it slid right by me lol
Take care Ken :-)
Is anyone else getting 144p?
