I'm totally surprised. Is just amazing how you can cook and bought so many items for your meals. I tell you that because where I live is so expensive to do any dish. And the chef's are excellent
The secret to $10 meals? Having a stocked pantry. Spices, flour, cornstarch, cooking wine, sauces, etc. You can't expect gourmet on $10 or much of anything for that matter. And most of the chefs added ingredients from their pantries. The real way to price your home meal is to take the ingredient and figure out the math on the amount you used. Sure, you bought a dozen eggs, but unless your dish uses 12 eggs, you're only using 1-2 normally. It's why buying in bulk is popular. That said learn to cook, fellow commentators. You don't have to cook amazing or what everyone else likes. You have to be able to cook food you enjoy. It will save you money and only take some of your time.
Halušky is literally called potato dumplings or potato gnocchi in English. You just made an abomination, similar to spinach halušky (yes, that exists despite it shouldnt).
@@AndreaColombo-fx1wh well, depends on what you serve them with. With classic halušky, the cheese should be bryndza (lightly fermented sheep cheese - its savory, similar to balkan cheese, but much less salty) and fried bacon pieces. The spinach halušky, if served with bryndza, would have sweet and savory combo which is, to make an understatement, weird (was there, done that, regretted it afterwards). To save spinach halušky, one would need to swap to a different cheese type and discard the bacon. At that point, You have swapped potatoes for spinach, cheese type and omitted bacon. Question is, is it still considered halušky, or a different dish like gnocchi/spätzle as You mentioned?
@@Kingofdestruction2019I imagine it would taste like borderline spoiled milk, like the milk you could use in baking but wouldn't even put it in coffee, then watered down a bunch and add a splash of vinegar. Vile? No not really. But unappetizing...
this is just so funny so me and my kid go to nyc once. 😂😂 and he bought a small recorder and a cup of noodles😂😂 and came up to a old man and said. In Saudi Arabia, $10 is equivalent to SR37.50. This is a lot of Kabsa to feed a whole family and a cat. Then you feel sleepy afterwards with a heavy stomach. Your country is so expensive guys.

Did I witness that chef just use a colander to wash rice💀
Atleast he didn't use it to strain the rice after it's cooked unlike BBC Foods lol.
Actually you shouldn't wash rice in the rice cooker's pot since it could damage the coating of the pot
Its ok as long is not cooked
