Due to outrage from fans. It is NOT a Generals 2 game. The story will not continue. There will be little focus on Single Player(initially there was no SP planned at all).
They are focused on Multiplayer action like MOBA type of games. Also game will feature units outside original Generals game, such as Mammonth Tanks. It wouldn't make sense naming it as a sequel to Generals. It was a good decision to rename it.
When will be available this wonderful game?
Generals will always be the best.

Well, if you look at Tiberium Alliances, also connected to the franchise, you definitely _have_ to pay to win. You even have to pay to just keep up. Not just some skins or colors. Don't pay, and more importantly, don't pay regularly and you won't stand a chance. The top players invested amounts of money that pale in comparison to the full price AAA title of $60.
I love CnC, so I hope you are right, but it is by no means clear that it will pan out that way.

Well, I'm waiting it with anxiety: the fact that they restarted the whole thing is good, so they can unleash themselves, since they are not anymore bond to the Westwood "canon".
And the F2P thing ? Guyes, you crakc me up: one of the best shooter around is Free To Play, and it's not a play for win.
Let me say that: at least, if does suck, you won't have spent a cent on it

Me desculpe, mas não tenho fé nesse jogo depois do tratamento vergonhoso que a EA deu para a série nessa última década. A falta de uma campanha solo e o modelo de negócio F2P não contribuem para melhorar meu ânimo acerca desse título.
Tiberium Alliances is a horrible browser rts (Not really rts but a joke) This is a legit game man, I'm sure they won't make this a retarded pay to win game. They want to make a come back from CnC 4 which was shit compared to Starcraft2 that 100% wrecked it. So if they make thispay to win, it will become a dead game.
