If you want to submit your bike through email shoot a photo of the bike and a build breakdown over to mull3tmechanic@gmail.com.
You're my people!! Polar opposite of every snobby bike tech at most shops. I've been working on my own bikes since I was a kid. I hate going into a shop looking for a small part only to be looked down upon by some bike mechanic know it all.

👍👍👍
That frame deserves a distressed Basket up front.. Brenden is the real MVP!
For the future, please post a quick ride video. We want to see how it moves.
please do more videos, learning a lot :)
alright!!!
as soon as you got to the chain link.. I'd have stopped put gears on and a different link and just put the thumb shifter halfway up the riser portion of the bars like a stem mount
IKEA for the basket struts.
the CBBO has helped the community come together for sure... bless
I'm planning to change the chain on my bike, something I've never done, so I enjoyed watching this.
Fantastic job, mate 👏 bike looks mint. I am literally just about to go out to the workshop and finish my build video later 😎
Could you not have just used the sliding dropouts to tension the chain? No hate just wondering
My question too!
Totally could but the derailleur totally adds some bling.
No with the fish hook style it will want to pull the pack wheel forward and out of the dropouts
@@Smoaksmoak-vs5sf Suly Hurdy Gurdy or just tightening it down super tight solves this :)
Nice one..this is such a great idea..enjoying the build..Steve,?Uk
Good stuff as always. Just killer.
The bike came up a treat really been enjoying the cheap bike build off
That frame looks like its got horizontal dropouts so why not just ditch the derailleur and just adjust tension by sliding the rear wheel in the dropouts ? I know tension can be a problem there with qr skewers but you could buy some of those bolt on ones or something like the surly hurdy gurdy or whatever that thing is called. Anyway the bike looks sick and I really like the whole cheap bike off idea. My mid 90s KHS Montana Sport commuter isn't going to be done in time because I had to order some parts and they won't be coming in time :( Anyway cool unique bike :)
Been digging all these builds, great stuff and a real breath of fresh air.. but putting that thumbie on after the brake lever is farting in church.😂
Turned out well! Lovin the laid-back look of it. How does it ride?
Awesome build man!!
Could you not mount the thumb shifter further down the handlebar, it seems like it can expand quite a bit? Also you need to take your hand off the handlebar for thumbies anyway, so having it further away isn't such a big deal.
You could have installed the shifter more inwards of the handlebar even when you wouldn't reach it from the grips. We used to have them in the downtube and that was not such a big problem.
lacks clips riding it at the end!!
TooL shirt.

IS NOT GOOD
Looks silly just get rid of the mec single speed should just be chain nothing else.. that’s how us English do it
