As you mentioned it a couple times in the video, maybe do a singlespeed/dinglespeed conversion? Just looks like a perfect laid-back cruiser with a basket and riser bars. Would love to see that paintjob in the sunlight!
Have an SS plan for another bike and did a dinglespeed a while ago that was cool, could do a 2x1 on this though 🤔 reverse of the last setup that had 2 rear gears with a rear derailleur to switch between the 2 🤔 would still need a rear derailleur or chain tensioner though 😩
Thanks! The paint looks awesome in the sun, hard to show a decent shot of it from a step back. Looks really nice on video up close though 👌 will try add some more purple if I can find some similar 🤞
I’d do a service and replace some parts as an exercise to show those that don’t know how much fun could be had for minimal outlay.
That’s the plan, but also really all we have the budget for 👌😂

Thanks heaps! Yeah I can’t stand flat bars, just not suitable. Maybe for lego people? 🤷♂️ do you think that riser bar I mocked it up with suits it, or try something else? 🤔 something doesn’t quite look right to me, might be the stem though but I’ll be matching the colours a bit either way. Cheers!
Think the riser bar needs to changed for one witch puts the bars further forward...otherwise its looking great..bear trap pedals would make a nice touch...complement the aggressive tyres on it...
I’ll see what I have kickin around 🤔 one with a little bump forward would be cool! Funnily enough I have some wellgo beartraps aside for this, originally red but faded a bit to almost match the pink around the decals 👌 should look sweet!

I’m in the process of building up the same frame. Rust in all the same places. Love the mock up. This is looking great.
Hot damn, in Aus?! Did it have the plastic sleeve in the bottom bracket too? Hate rust there, but oil normally treats it well enough 🤙 thank you! What are your plans for yours?
@@toastyrides yeah in QLD Australia. Mine had different paint but other than that it was identical. Watching your video was like a play by play recreation of my strip down 🤣.
Currently it’s setup with some knock off corner bars, 9 speed rear, Black LX 2x front rings, thumby shifters etc. and some very out of place Paul Minimoto brakes and levers. I’ve ordered some flared Ritchey drop bars though and some Campy Ergo levers and am getting rid of the corner bars.

That's a great paint job it would be hard to find a finish like that on a new bike.

This is a great build i am following with must of the people doing there are sweet bukes getting built for it.
I actually really dig the stem, but silver bars with it maybe? Your videos are great and inspiring me to finish some projects.

I think it looks great how you have it, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t want to see it with the Fat Franks.
Im against running cracked tires, i'd run the fat franks for sure

Thank you! The one in the thumbnail doesn’t haven’t a name unfortunately, it’s just a generic riser bar. Alloy, with some nice angles etc though! Sorry can’t be of much help, thanks for checking the video out though! 🤙
