The way she treated her “friend” like an unpaid intern does not sit right with me. It all sounds like entitlement, not ADHD.
And she continues to say that she’s not using it [ADHD] as an excuse.. but she’s really just using it to excuse that entitlement at this point.
As someone with ADHD, thank you. Some of us try to work with our condition to avoid it impacting others and even with that, mistakes happen. It takes a lot of effort, but if I don't put in the work FIRST, it's unfair to ask people to be understanding if/when mistakes happen.

THANK YOU! It’s so frustrating to see her use that as an excuse. Especially as someone who has ADHD, disordered eating and depression. Like you had the options of healthy food, even with adhd I can still be a nice person no matter if I get a little sidetracked. I don’t like to waste peoples time or inconvenience others. And as for the depression, again you could still have depression and be a genuinely kind person. Depression for me is mainly internalized issues I have with myself but I refuse to project that onto others because they haven’t done me wrong. ESPECIALLY SOMEONE I CALL A FRIEND.

I'm about to say something Controversial Yet Brave ✨ in my experience with ana, and from knowing others with ED, literally no one who actually suffers with any form of ED would ever blame someone else for "making their eating disorder come back" for not getting them special diet food. no one who has suffered with ED would go on a diet, period. you live a healthy life, not go on a harsh diet where you restrict foods. to me, it sounds like Gabbie is just using the "Eating Disorder Card" to get what she wants, and excuse her bitchy behavior, meanwhile back in reality, she's just on a diet, and has never been diagnosed with ED. Gabbie gives me "i'll say any lie I need to say to justify my horrendous behavior" vibes, and I bet this is no exception. and honestly, maybe I'm wrong. but also, maybe I'm not.
@@scarlett8782 I have BED (binge eating disorder) and part of what makes it hard is if I go somewhere where the only food provided is junk food or “less healthy” because it’s extremely hard to resist the urge to eat, but I would still never blame those who provided the food, they are not responsible for my disorder. Dieting for me doesn’t work, maybe there are people who have an eating disorder that found dieting helpful and kept them on track, but in most cases you don’t go on an ultra healthy diet, you’d have set food goals with a professional to keep you on track. Maybe she does have an ED but it sounds to me like she uses mental illness and serious disorders as scape goats which is abusive and also increases the already large stigma around things like ADHD and eating disorders

The reason why gabby never expected this level of support for joey and daniel is because she’s never been drama free. She’s always been wrapped up in drama since the beginning, so she’s never truly established a healthy and strong reputation between these influencers. What joey and daniel did was not participating in drama, rather they were just standing up for themselves, and when you are kind and as professional as they are, you build a web of people who genuinely care about you and will stand up with you in order to defend their FRIEND. A concept that Gabbie cannot comprehend.

I'm so done with her, at this point she's not even annoying, she's just boring. She really needs to stop blaming everybody else and get some help so she can move on with her life and stop causing the same drama with everybody for attention.

She's in therapy and takes medication, so I think she's on the way to try to be better. But of course that doesn't change the fact that she needs to realise that she can't blame her ADHD and use that as an argument/excuse for her behaviour.

As someone with ADHD, Gabbie is making people like us look like we’re entitled and dramatic. (Granted, I’m an actor myself so of course I’m dramatic but in no way am I a diva). I’m glad that Joey, Daniel, AND ROSANNA spoke out about Gabbie’s unprofessionalism.
I agree. I too have ADHD and many others I know of who try their best to not make an issue of it cuz having it makes it a lot difficult to WORK and STUDY. We still try to do our best so we can make it seem like we don't have it so we can progress like everyone else the best we can. Gabbie doesn't even look like she's trying and getting diagnosed made it seem like she finally had a reason or excuse for her bad behavior.
I am a theatre kid and have adhd, i dont like when people abuse the name, it make other people think bade about us. I Struggle enough as it is, whit ADHD and develeping a ed (eatingdisorder), i dont ned people thinking i am entitled and using it as excuse.

I was just thinking that. ADHD doesn't make you behave this way: ADHD is difficult and painful and it deserves to be talked about, but it doesn't make you treat people this poorly. Gabbie made the CHOICE to treat people this way: it's the entitlement, narcism and delusion. Not the ADHD.

As a person with ADHD, all the things she uses adhd as a excuse is a vast misrepresentation of anyone with it. ADHD isn’t a excuse to be entitled, It may make it slightly harder to do some stuff without getting distracted but it doesn’t mean you get to be a piece of shit to people who were trying to accommodate you.
I have worked on plays and musicals, mostly school plays and such. However a vast majority of the cast members and crew had adhd, most of which were children and even more mature than her.
She was part of a production that she agreed to be on, and it is a work process. Just because your a actor it doesn’t mean you get to slack off and expecting everyone to pick up the pace for you. Yes I understand adhd makes it hard and it feels easier to do nothing but you don’t get to be mad when everyone is trying to help you.
You’re on a schedule for a official show that’s quite popular and you can’t be professional for a second. Adhd isn’t a excuse to hurt others and I hope she learns that the root cause of this is not her adhd and instead something about her as a person

I won’t lie, as a woman with ADHD, I’m insulted by Gabbie using that as of it excuses unprofessional behavior! ADHD is a pass to be a jerk. I lived my entire life with it, and I’ve always owned that even if I had issues, it never excuses me hurting anybody.
My best friend and this girl from high school have that and they’re both the most loving and nicest people I’ve ever met. Literally so nice to everyone it’s crazy. I think Gabbie must have something other than ADHD honestly

Super agree! It took me YEARS to get officially diagnosed with ADHD because my parents were afraid that having it would mean horrible things for me and my future. I actually got diagnosed TODAY and this situation is the first thing I see after?? Crazy. Anyway even without any kind of medication, therapy etc. for dealing with the ADHD I didn’t know I had, I NEVER acted in such a horrific and unprofessional way. I pride myself on treating everyone around me as kindly as I can manage. It’s disgusting to see her painting ADHDers in a bad light
i have ADHD and the fact she’s painting us out as “uncontrollable” and “hard to work with” when we’ve worked hard on actually educating people with what it is and what it isnt is so offensive. she’s using the stereotype, not the actual experience. we never use our ADHD as an excuse to be a horrible person and we can actually control ourselves, it’s not flavors of ice cream, there isn’t different variations, we all deal with the same symptoms and issues.

Being flakey and inattentive and missing things can be because of ADHD but she’s an adult and needs to hold herself responsible for it and find ways to cope. Like me, I set alarms and put everything into a calendar so I don’t forget. And I check in often to make sure I didn’t forget something

I have ADHD, I know others with it, I follow ADHD tiktok, and How to ADHD on CZcams. She is right one "it's not one size fits all". But we are not like that! Most of us are deeply empathetic and aware of our weakness and try hard to mask. We know we are a lot. By the time you are 30 you need to learn how to manage the condition so we can be professional. We all hold our breath at work. No responsible mature adult expects the world to adapt to them, they adapt to the environment, ADHD or not.
My manager at the call center didn't give a shit about my ADHD and dyslexia. I had quotas, a schedule, had to clock in on time, be polite, clock out on time. I was grateful working for a company that at least care for their entry and are understanding.
If I was late every day the "sorry I got distracted, I have a medical condition, can't blame me blame my ADHD for losing the train " wouldn't cut it. There is an understanding but if I make a habit out of it I'm incompetent.
