I'm ready! Another great and helpful video. I am thinking next spring break doing 2 days in Valencia, then one each in Teruel, Albarracin, and Tarragona. However, since our break is over Semana Santa this year, I worry about cost of travel and wonder if all attractions will be open.
Hi Fred, during the bank holiday public spaces such as public markets will remain closed. All the tourist attractions will open. The only interference might come from Easter celebrations (processions). Accommodation tends to be more expensive during the Easter bank holiday.

My friend Tony, my wife and I love your videos as we prepare to move to Spain in November. We are working diligently on our Spanish, but in regards to the tours of Albufera, do you think we can find English speaking tours?
Hi Mike, we are not sure about the English tours, maybe during the high season. As you will be based in Valencia, double check with the local tourist office once you are there. All the very best to you on your move to Spain!

Gracias Cecilia and Tony for you wonderful videos. My family and I will be visiting your beautiful country next January. And we will be spending 3 days in Valencia, so this video is perfect. Would you know if in January there is a train from Valencia to Girona, that does not pass thru Madrid ? We may also rent a car for that journey instead of taking a train.

Hi Nancy, hope you'll have a splendid time in Valencia. There is no direct train to Girona we know of, but it's easy, take a train to Barcelona and change at Sants station to the train for Girona. All the best!

Hi David, we haven't got a video yet on accommodation in Valencia, and blank hotel recommendations are not our thing. Choose a location either in the centre of Valencia or near the City of Arts. If you find a hotel that fits your needs and want to know our opinion, just give us a shout! All the best!

Good question for which we don't have a definite answer. I mean, we know where to eat a good paella but you are specifically asking for paella for one person, which is not always offered. Perhaps you could ask at the tourist office when you get there.

Hello, you can walk around the complex at night, but the Museum, the IMAX cinema and the Oceanarium have their own timetables. You could see all in one day but the Oceanarium is so big (and the ticket pricey) that you would probably feel sorry you had to rush through the visit. But you could to museum, oceanarium and one IMAX movie in the same day, yes.
Thanks Tony for great information. Which area in Valencia do you recommend for budget solo traveler to stay? I've browsed booking website, the recommended hostel was booked out for early Oct. The others have different kind of problem.

Hi, sounds like a good card but you need to do your maths and work out if it's going to be a good investment for you, based on the places you intend to visit.
Could you do Valencia as a day trip from Madrid?

You could but I think you need at least 3 days.... But in one day you can enjoy part of the city
I would like to aks that if after 5:30 pm the visiting places at the old city part of Valencia remains open till sunset?
Sunset time changes considerably along the year. It will depend on the time of the year.
Our train will arrive at Chamartin at 17:35 is it possible and enough time to take the next train to Valencia also from Chamartin at 18:45? Please advise from your experience. Thank you

Valencia have a metro card similar to barcelona?
There is a card to pay for transport trips in Valencia, but it's more like the Tarjeta Multi in Madrid.
