I actually had a bad accident was hiking with my Alaskan husky fell 18 feet broke my leg in 8 places and was unconscious she ran to the trail and waited till morning to catch the first jogger and led him back to me about a mile away she saved my life and leg 3 surgeries later lots of PT I owe it all to her

Dogs can actually sense when you're in trouble. Their sense of smell helps them detect the hormonal changes in your body when u faint so the dog knows when you're in real trouble

My late doggo used to do this - anytime I'd fall, he'd immediately run to me and guard me until I got up. He was small and nobody suspected him to be smart but damn, he was loyal to a fault. Loved him to bits and still kinda miss him even though he's been gone for maybe a decade.

Not only dogs are actually concerned, I have an English bunny, one of those types with the ears down. I played death in front of him and he came straight to me and used his little paws to try to wake me up, sometimes he would cuddle with me in bed and we would sleep together, I love him so much

I tried this with my Tibetan Mastiff. I used to faint a lot so I can act it out pretty well.
He got up immediately and ran up to examine my lower body, noticed I wasn't breathing (held it) and ran straight back to my dad and beat him with his paw like "ARE U BLIND MAN?? THE OTHER HUMAN BROKE!" - then went to the cat and informed her, and straight back to dad. Such a good dog.
Unfortunately he did not take the fact that I was faking well. ^^; After examining my face and making sure I was in fact okay, holding my hand between paw and head for a long while - he then went into hardcore " **Sulk** =n= You know what you did"-mode.
The cat just went over and did almost as theatrical a fall next to me. Thanks cat. Nice to know you got my back.

What a good boy for running to your aid the first time. Dogs can sense when something is wrong with their owners. My vizsla always comes up to me when I talk with more volume than usual and tries to calm me down. I think they really care!
Very interesting to watch Key the first time. He was instantly up on his feet full of concern for your well being, no questions asked. Pretty wonderful to have that much of that kind of love from any being. Key is just proving once again that he's special. :)

My aunt and uncle had a Samoyed who had *never* been inside their house. My uncle was in his 70's and out on his tractor on a hillside (in Carmel, California) and had an accident where his tractor rolled over on him and he was pinned under it. Somo saw this and immediately ran to the sliding glass door at the house and pawed at it and barked until my aunt came to see what was up. She opened the door and Somo ran in past her, down to their bedroom, grabbed one of my uncle's slippers and came back and dropped in in front of Aunt Mary. Because of that, Uncle Dickel was saved, but seriously injured. He then lived to be 105. God bless that dog and all dogs. 🐕❤️
