That One Awkward Fangirl I don't know if she said it in the video but try something with niacinamide in it since it will regulate oil producing. 😊 I use the Paulas Choice skin balancing toner because here in Germany I haven't found anything less expensive. You have to be really careful though and use a good moisturizer because your skin might get really dry from niacinamide. 😊

Wow... i totally relate to what you said at the end. Well said! Having problematic skin has always bugged me especially in my high school years. But now I've come to understand that it's more or less a genetic thing and I just need to take care of what I can to not make it worse, like lifestyle and skincare. Love your skincare videos! Just a heads up for the tatcha water cream.. I LOVE it in general as a moisturizer but after an entire jar the fragrance started to give me little bumps all over. Took about 2 weeks to clear up. If it didn’t have fragrance it’d be the perfect moisturizer , so anyone whose skin is slightly sensitive be careful. Aside from that I’ve taken a lot of skincare recommendations from Ingrid and they’ve all worked great for me!

Toners are not to keep pores open, they return skin to optimal it's ph of 5.5 so it will absorb products you apply after better. Also some oils help remove sebum plugs or closed comedones like blackheads better than exfoliation, keep that in mind. If anyone is looking for a good information go to acne.org, super helpful. Great vid Ingrid!

Tips for acne prone skin based on my personal experience: stop exfoliating your skin with " scrub" and wear sunscreen. Most acne treatment products are already mild acid that mildly exfoliate the skin, so stop using "scrubs" that only irritates skin. Sunscreen protects skin from sun radiation that turns red scar to darker scar. Sun radiation may also increase the oil production of our skin. Find the right sunscreen that does not break you out and remove it at the end of the day:)

I feel like adult acne is such a struggle. I feel like I'm starting to get fine lines around my mouth but if I use any retinol products it makes my skin kind of sensitive
For anyone who has pores that are easily clogged (like you get blackheads easily), the Shu Uemura PoreFessional is better than most other cleansing oils I've tried. It's a lot more fluid than all the cleansing oils I've tried. A bit pricy but they have 20-25% off a lot on their US website. I'm on my 2nd bottle of the 15 oz size, previously I had a 5 oz then my first 15 oz.

As someone with highly sensitive combination acne-prone skin, finding over the counter products that are relatively inexpensive and actually work is really really difficult. Any moisturizers I use even if they’re oil free make me greasy, and if I use a product to combat the grease, my skin gets so dry it’s not even funny, and on top of that in the winter I swim for my school and im a ski coach so the combination of the chlorine and the cold wind sucks any and all moisture out of my skin. I wash my face morning and night and I’m taking medication from my dermatologist for my acne and it’s in better shape but if you have any tips on how to manage the dryness and oil of my skin on a daily basis that would help a ton!
