That's fast, how much does it weigh?
@Uneasy-vh4bx Projectile weight for the tactical service round is about 7 kg, or roughly 15 pounds, but that would be including the sabot, so just the penetrator is probably about half that weight.
@@InertOrdnancewhat was the penetrator made from? DU? Tungsten? Also that sabot looks like metal is that what the jagged things are at the top?
@@gemnicherry2670 it's a tungsten Slug penetrator, majority of the projectile weight is that slug. the majority is a lighter material, likely aluminium.
i wonder if you have a cross section of how these sabot's work, GHPC which is very damn accurate (horrifyingly so). but i never seen pact sabot petals, do they even have the petals? or is it purely a disintegrating sabot with collar, or even just a disintegrating sabot.
You know its a big bullet when there's only 1 in the box it came in

I'd love to have one of these darts, but unfortunately, they're virtually unobtainable where i live. It's not because of laws. There's just no site that sells them
Are you inside or outside the USA?
@@InertOrdnancewhere do you buy these things?
I got mine in the mail thru a surplus catalog. Central city surplus in santa Maria ca. Has most everything like this. I even got 8" howitzer projos. We fired one of them in my hubby's m115 8" howitzer, its 35" tall & 235lbs, I recovered it so I've got one unfired & one fired. They even have or had last time I looked, a 16" battleship projo, it was $1400. I got my abrams dart and PG9 rocket grenade from sportsmans guide, they sometimes have this stuff too😊

Pro tip: that cardboard tube used to protect the charge portion (shorter wider tube) makes a great field toilet. When you're in full kit, you can't really squat comfortably. Having something to sit on to shit makes all the difference.
Nice 👍🏽
Smart
Hahah yuri
Thanks, I was thinking one of those cardboard tubes would make a good souvenir. Not anymore.
That's genius. I know someone who used to take a very small folding stool with them (no pun intended) take the seat part off and use a small bin bag. It's the little things that make the difference! 😂
In the end of the day we're all just cavemen poking each other with sharp stuffs.
My father drove a T-72 while In the Cuban military, one of the crews in his unit decided to test their luck and drive off into the ocean with the tank since it was amphibious they where never heard from again
Basically every APDSDS is hypersonic. That’s their entire gimmick.
Even ww2 full caliber rounds are hypersonic

@@usersbis the dirtiest I've ever seen has scratches and grime and all over.
That's because it is lesson shell for training. There is a note on it- учебно -тренировочный. That means - only for lesson purposes.
Bcoz it got fired at something 💀@@theon2769
How to win your next airsoft game;
It is says учебно-треонеровочный on the sobat round it means that is a training around.
Как носитель русского языка, я потверждаю это.
Только называется "Учебно-тренировочный".
So it's softcore boom pr0n.
that just means the penetrator is not as dense and hard, training doesnt mean inert
yes , it was pinned by Ordnance.

It would be illegal to have more than 10 of these in your magazine here in NY
It’s not illegal if you’re a politician or rich businessman though.
All you have to do is to sue the court for stating it’s illegal on your case, and then you get extra 500 millions USD in settlements to buy another tank for free.
Ummm nobody needs more than ten 120mm rounds in one magazine, that law keeps you safe
If you feel that you new them in New York the you need to move and live somewhere else
You can have as many as you like. Its an inert training round.
@@SoulAir lmao

Cool. But how fucking annoying does it have to be? 😂
1. Bring the Box to the Tank.
2. Get the round out of the package.
3. Unwrap the explosive-charge/Sabot.
4. Get it in the Tank.
5. Load it into the Autoloading mechanism.
6. Do that like 30-40 times 💀
These are the coolest unboxings
Alright... now I'm very damn jealous. All I have is a 3bm-22 projectile
Is this 3bm22?
@wyk3548 correct. This example is a training version with no tungsten core etc shown in the video, mine is an inert combat version.
3bm-22 is obsolete unless you wanna kill light vehicles like the maxpro or oshkosh and such so you shouldnt have trouble finding it.
@mark679 that round can easily take out any main battle tank on the battlefield from the side. Any tank can be killed, some just less than others. As for availability, all apfsds rounds of any caliber or nation are incredibly rare and expensive when you find them.
@@Tankslayer109 I wouldn’t trust it from the front tho 😅

Wait until you need to open 100s of them to arm your tank squadron. The Soviet logistics was awful for boxing things. No stacking, forklifts.
