@@Charsans01 What? The deck is literally centered around a dragon that lives in a volcano (Veidos/Mt.Vesuvius) that decimates a city (Obsidim/Pompeii). Even the Ashened monsters are a reference to the people of Pompeii who were buried in ash in the positioned of what they were doing, sort of freezing them in time.
Don't get me wrong, archetypes can be based off of two or more things (Kozmos, World Chalice, etc.) but it's clearly referencing Pompeii.
@@aghadlarhen9397 Correct, yet in your first reply you corrected OP, saying that its actually based on Pompeii. You implied that it's ONLY based off Pompeii. It clearly has Pompeii in it, but its undoubtably also taken inspiration from Fromsoft's games. They literally have a firekeeper, bonfire is an obvious reference, & they're called Ashened; it's too many coincidences to not have taken inspiration from Dark Souls.

I remember when the first wave came out and the deck was little more than "The Dark Souls Archetype". But it actually does seem kinda neat!
I don't care what people say about this deck, they can call it a new Warock call them trash i don't care I love this deck
My mate recently traded me a bulk of the deck for a complete ghoti deck
as a silly tech pick infernal flame vixen, one of the most usless rank 4 xyzs monster actually work in this deck, wen veidos blows up vixen she can banish 3 monsters from either grave so we could get rid of monsters we blown up with veidos
.hack BG music...really like the Hulle Granz Cathedral Theme. A good start to the video
A worthy and well presented explanation of the Archetype that is based on the Fromsoftware Games and the historic tragedy of Pompeii.
The Idea of us coming to a ruined Land threatened by a scourge that is always coming back and helping the inhabitants against it, is so true to the settings of the Games.
I picked up those Cards immediately and started building the Deck.
It does need some more polish though and I‘d rather include Cards that stay true to the Theme and may fit the aesthetic of the Archetype instead of putting in any generic Bossmonsters or highly competitive Cards.
I hope the Archetype will get some more Cards in the future.
It‘s simply amazing and deserves more recognition.

One does not simply “parry” a breath attack. Making the one using it stagger from Poise damage before the breath weapon can fire, on the other hand, *definitely*. And I think the Obsidim Ashen Spear, in tandem with this player’s Soul-Soot Armor set, has more than enough Strength to force a Stagger to happen.

This is legit the darksouls archetype or eldin ring...or just firm software style EITHER WAY the art the theme and the types are interesting to me i wish i can see this deck animated or in Manga form what about you guys?

Hey, great a video!
About other themes/cards that you can mix:
- Adventurer Token Engine; It felt better with the first 7 cards, now i have to make more tests; Its super fun to make shanenigans with dracoback+knight bounces to get Veidos back, and getting knight back to your field with the trap; Most of the time you dont need to normal summon Priestess;
- A bit of Kashtira; x1 field spell, x2-3 Fenrir, x1 Riseheart. It gives you good presence for both 1st/2nd turn (i feel that this deck is a going 2nd board breaker deck). Gives you a field spell to pop veidos and a mateiral for rank 4. (the xyz lock is not a big deal going 1st in Ashened).
- Chicken game!. Draw 1 and free veidos fodder.
- Set rotation; We are running at least 3 field spells in this deck idea - if you already have Veidos in hand this is a better awakening.
- Feels fine to run x1 of each Ashened but Priestess (x3). King now feels much better after the 2nd wave. He is essential. Shaman i tempeted to run 2, it sucks to have her at the beggining, but in the grindgame she is awesome.
I found 2 Shaman and no Spearman pretty solid. Remember Priestess + any level 4 ashened does get you to full combo so it's pretty good

Wait a second I think this is meant to be the uira deck, like how Crystal beasts are the Hamon deck, only this time it’s intentional, they are all dark pyros, and uira is a pyro, they can summon them pretty easily, due to having ways to get continous trap cards on the feild, and probably will have more ways to get them on the field, and mainly focus around destorying their own field spell card, while uira can help them deal with spells and traps, I know it’s not as best as the trap monster focused deck, but they focus around fusion, like the Crystal beasts, and it just feels right for uira to be in this deck.
I can definitely see that. Not to Mention a lot of Effects Cannot Stop Uria’s Card Popping Effect once it’s one the field😊

This archetype can be very similar to pure Scrap. Basically both are extremely reliant on the field spell (for different reasons but they basically dont work at all without it), and both summon things to the opponent side to blast their field (Veidos and Scrap Searcher + Golem). I like that idea and might want to try Ashened later on
Don't know if it's the pair of head wings or the hollow chest that fills up with flames, but Veidos' design goes hard.

For a take on the Dark Souls theme, I agree that this is an awesome deck. And an interesting take on utilizing a Kaiju like monster with other cards to cc & blast your opponents board. I really hope this archetype gets more support.
Same. Rn it's not bad, but every other deck is just stronger. It functions pretty well but its endboards just... Don't kill certain decks

In defence of King, it summoning from hand DOES allow us to get any extra copies of an Ashened on board, since they can only be special summoned by their inherent method once per turn and all.

I still think fusion Veidos is a detriment for Ashened deck, especially the pure one. Because it just give your opponent a fully set up Super Poly target

Nova, just, DM a Tabletop liveplay already. You can no longer convince me that you haven't at least *thought* about it given that intro and outro...
Trust me, once I get the spare capital to pull it off, y'all are getting a Liveplay centered around the Endymion/Prophecy/Witchcrafter setting. Been knocking around i my head for AGES.

Nova you fucked up the showcase lines. The 1 card with Awakening gets you far more. You Use priestess to get extinguish, extinguish grab another veidos, fuse off King n Priestess for embers add back obsidim and pass. Now on opp's turn you have another veidos in hand + obsidim, this means you can get another ss from deck
You can also go Cl1 endlessness CL2 veidos pop Obsidim, fuse off your opponent's two veidos, your embers and get the big man, then CL1 destroyed obsidim, CL2 Veidos CL3 Veidos fusion. You SS out Hero which, since veidos reolves before you summon it, remains on field. Now you can use your Veidos fusion to pop 1, then use the GY effect to let Hero pop another monster. THAT is the actual line, not the BS you've shown.

this deck suck....not much pyro support atm in the yugioh verse...we are lock to pyros...kanomi can go suck it up...these are pyros monster but are dark...
Please I don’t want hate this archetype like branded if your doing this cosplay stick 😅
