- In this video, BDH Race Sim founder, Dave, talks us through the entire story of this sim racing shifter company, from the R&D centre where it all began.
He also unveils the firm's all new H1SQ dual-mode shifter, which can be switched between H-pattern and sequential within a matter of seconds.
BDH Race Sim hardware is a British family company producing some of the finest hand-crafted sim racing gear shifters in the world. To find out more, please visit www.bdhracesim.com/
i think is the best product i ever saw in my life.
Thank you.
Now this is a product that ive been waiting for, i always looked at the H1 thinking damn that is nice, but couldnt justify buying it since it was only H pattern and most of the time i would probably be using sequential but then i didnt want to buy any nice sequential shifter because then i would need another H pattern shifter.
And honestly the price point of 1300€ (after tax) doesnt seem too absurd when you get really premium H pattern and Sequential with probably the easiest looking switch between the modes.
Honestly i cant wait to give this man my money.
Dave, this looks like a fantastic product and really filling the void of dual-mode shifters in the upper tier. I'd happily shell out for this if I didn't already have the H1.
Cheers fella. Of course, you have your own fantastic SQ any way man 😊
it's great that you managed to keep the feeling of the H1 and add the sequential mode!!! Compliments!!!
Thanks so much!
these looks so good, il have to get one in the future if i spot 1 used for a bit cheaper
Pre ordered mine!
Many thanks for your custom
@@BDHRaceSimHardware absolutely! I’m excited to try it out!
This looks great but would love a dedicated BDH sequential shifter with the mechanical insides like the cog wheel etc for a more realistic feel.
It's on its way mate 👍🏻 👌
Excellent! Also great to see you drive this in AMS2...🤘🏽
Looks amazing! The sequential mode is appreciating.
I can’t wait to get mine pre ordered awhile ago… question is am I going to take it apart to paint to match my black rig.. it looks to pretty to paint …. Hmmmmmmmm
I love this shifter ❤
Only just found out about this. This looks fantastic.
Thank you for your hard work and I will be your happy customer 👍 😀
Preorder placed
Put my order in through podium 1. Very much looking forward to it 💪. I did want to ask, is there a lockout or stronger spring for the 7th and reverse gears? I’m curious how that works. Thank you.
Sucks that I bought the BDH in December and then this comes out
Does the sequential mode not have an additional longitudinal spring to make the gearstick return to centre? In the demonstration you were manually putting it back into the neutral position.
Yes it has two, one for each direction, and no, I wasn't manually pushing it back.
After watching back, it does look like that on the first shift, but I assure you it was returning by itself.
@@BDHRaceSimHardware Ah brilliant, cheers!
Beautiful work, can we order one with a clear cover so it looks like this? 🤔
It may be something we do in future, maybe a limited edition, but not anytime soon
@@BDHRaceSimHardware that would be really cool if it’s feasible.
Can we adjust tension for both sequential and H pattern ?
yes via same bolt
Can an extension be installed? I think I would have to mount it lower on my rig, but need a rally style height for the shifter. So close to steering wheel height and to align with my handbrake.
Yes an extension can be fitted, it would increase the travel significantly.
Alternatively if you can wait for our next product, it will be more suited to Rallying.
@BDHRaceSimHardware oh wow. Ok now you have peaked my interest!! I mainly use paddles for gt racing, but sequential for rally. Do you have a timeframe??
@@peterw8911 autumn (fall) 😁
I'm buying this when I've gotten my cockpit. Can I replace the small gear guages with metal? Or are they metal already? Because some of the videos I've watched, they have plastic "guages" and guage parts.
They are now all metal.
@@BDHRaceSimHardware Omg, I can't wait to get one.
They need to develop an active shifter for the ultimate shifter in the market, otherwise bash pro active h shifter will be the go to for now...
Active ? Sounds interesting, tell me more, what does that do or even mean 🤔
@@BDHRaceSimHardware Shifter knows when it can shift into gears, I.E. if the clutch is pressed. Hence "Active" products were created to limit that gap between mechanical and electronical input. look up BASH Pro Active H-Shifter, your shifter is 100x better mechanically.
@@BDHRaceSimHardware Dave, I believe it locks the gate electronically until the game detects a proper shift, then it engages the gear. I guess clutch press based on telemetry.
I would consider buying this only if it had integration with pedals such as simsynchro. What is the point of a more realistic shifter if it's completely detached from clutch mechanics? This will not make the experience more immersive for me.
There's a lot of point to many different racers. I do see your point too, be patient as we are actually working on pedal integration.
Amazing product but unfortunately I can't justify spending $1699 CAD on a shifter. That would be 2 thirds of the price of my wheel base. If you could please make an option that's priced $400 cheaper I bet a lot more people would be adding one of these to their sim rig.
Seems to be 1028 - 1250 euros here in Europe which is far more reasonable.
