    Thank you - very helpful for setting up on my TBS Tango 2. One difference I found is that TBS seem to have put the Global Variables Options in the Flight Modes screen. All other options were in the same places as you demonstrated. Cheers

      I guess it depends which target TBS forked to base their Tango from. I believe the Q-X7 also has them on the flight modes screen. Thanks for pointing that out :)

    Nice idea, thank you for inspiration. Other (simpler?) way for one specific setting in video - you can use MAX as input with -100 Weight instead of Throttle being use as input with custom curve.

    I;ve been looking for these settings since i bought my Radiomaster T16s - It works very well, but man is it complicated. I understand about 50% of what i just setup. On my 9xr Pro running Ersky9x this was just set with a single safety switch setting. I think you need an engineering degree to understand opexTX. Anyway im going to stick with it as I think its more widely used.
    Thanks for the video - It works really well!

      It gets easier as you get used to it. ETHOS also has a built in throttle cut, which is just a click. But I still manually code my own as I prefer the way mine works to the ETHOS standard cuts.

    Oooooo! I didn't think about getting into the FC menus. Good point! Oh you got the logical switches in too! Woohooo!

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 4 lety +3

      I know, a lot of people forget about that. Then stand at the field looking like an idiot trying to get in to the menu when its impossible. Not that I’ve ever done that 🤣 I learnt the lesson though. I have got another system for a pre-arm switch for flight controllers. Not that it’s really necessary; the flight controllers have safety stuff built in. But some people like them, so I’ll do a video.
      That was only going over the logical switches needed for this. There will be more on those later on. Hopefully it was understandable?

    I had no idea what all those features were for. I came from Futaba and recently embraced Open TX. I've been away from flying and I'm amazed how far technology has advanced in 5+ years. I just ordered a new RadioMaster and looking forward to the programming you provide. Thanks!

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 3 lety

      No problem Corey. There is absolutely loads you can do with these transmitters. Especially with OpenTX. If there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, give me a shout. Hope you have a lot of fun flying again :)

      @@MrD Thank you for extending the offer. You have loads of great tutorials and I hope your channel takes off. Your instructions are far more detailed than any else I've found.
      A couple things I think that may attract a few views is if you can describe how to set up TXs to simulators (Steam, Wings, DRL, etc). It took me far too long to get my settings correct to have a reset switch. I never had an issue, but I know others have had issues getting initial connection setup with the simulators.
      Maybe a set of files with the up-to-date sound packs with description. I only have found Amber (and Joanne) from 2.3. I'm currently looking into what "the change" was that makes them problematic for the more current firmware (Tada vs. hello, etc).
      Lastly, at this time, don't know what I don't know about the Telemetry screens on OpenTX. I tried to get things configured (RSSI) with CRSF. That being said, I haven't devoted more than an hour or two messing with it. (Not sure what data I'm getting from FC, nor how to properly configure the radio to properly display the data, aside from holding down page when in the model)
      Thanks again and keep up with the amazing content!

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 3 lety

      Thanks for the suggestions Corey. I’ll add those to the list. I was going to make a video quite soon about how to make your own sounds packs. But, I could look at including packs like Amber too.
      The telemetry screens and simulators I can look at to 🙂

    Great Video. I need help placing a snap roll condition on a momentary switch. So when I flip the switch all surfaces throw to a desired rate. CZcams has been no help on this one.... Have everything setup under the Inputs menu, and it shows on the graph when I flip the switch, but no movement on servos.....

    @mr.d How can I add a momentary SW-H (held for 2 seconds) to the arming process? For my gassers I use SW-H along with SW-B to arm my ignition. Would like to add a two-action arming process for my electrics.

    Darren in your video you mentioned that you're going to cover another Arming Switch for Flight Controllers or can this one me used?

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 4 lety

      No, I wouldn’t use this for some flight controllers. It would be fine with a Vector. You would just need to remember to arm before your do the setup wizard. It wouldn’t be good for iNav, as you use the sticks to enter the OSD menu.

    • @RichardFAdams-kt9ux
      @RichardFAdams-kt9ux Před 4 lety +1

      @@MrD So are you working on a Arming Switch video for Flight Controllers and would be able to enter the OSD menu?

    • @MrD
      @MrD  Před 4 lety

      Richard F. Adams I can do a video for this. It would be pretty similar to this one. Only it wouldn’t do anything on the throttle input and it would change a channel to sent the arm state to inav.
