      Assalam o alikum sir. I have smps power supply in which issue is that there is 7 volt vcc if I remove the pwm i.c 3842b so there is 15 volt & I replaced the ic 3842b so there is 7 Volt again please please gauid me to resolve the big problem for me.     Dear Sir, your videos are really worth watching. Your detailed explanation of the subject matter is commendable. I congratulate you on your efforts to post such useful videos, keep up the good work.
    I would be grateful if you could provide a solution to a problem which I am facing with a 12V to 35-0-35V boost converter used in tractor amplifiers. (100Watt output). When I switch on the power supply, the voltage rises to 70V DC (+35V-0-35V DC) but after reaching a maximum value, it starts to fall slowly and the final voltage is around 20V (+10V-0-10V DC) The controller IC is L494 which is driving MOSFETS P55NF06. The transformer is a ferrite core toroid, primary 6 turns and secondary 18 turns. Please suggest some solution so that I can start troubleshooting this circuit. Thanks.

    One thing is not clear. We have a zener diode as reference. In your example you have mentioned that voltage vcc will fluctuate according to the load. In the presence of the zener, how voltage will fluctuate that much.

      zener is used to provide a reference for optocoupler
      when there is no load at output, for example PWM controller is switching at 20% duty cycle.
      when we put load at output, it will cause to drop voltage at output terminal, so the zener or adjustable reference TL431 will drop its fixed voltage and upper voltage will applied to the optocoupler.
      the dropped voltage will reflect to the SMPS controller will increase its duty cycle, to fulfill the dropped voltage which were decreased due to load effect
      i will try to explain it in detail.

      the rectifier diode is bad, it is applying ac voltage to the capacitor, so polarized capacitor blasts with ac voltage. or if the voltage rating is less then the supply voltage, or the capacitor is connected in reverse direction.
      these are the reasons of the blasting of the capacitor
