I’ve been following this man from the 70’s on Long Island to his new home in Wilmington, DE today. An extraordinary musician who has shaped my musical taste and interests.

Nice interview with David. Really enjoyed hearing David talk about his guitars. He is a treasure.

I saw David in Iowa in mid 70s and along with Stevie Goodman and a couple of others they really shaped how I think about music. David dared to be a little different but his acoustic guitar work was astonishing. I like blues but the bluegrass flatpicking otherworldly. I like the younger players and think it great but when people ask me " Have you ever heard anything like that I say" Yes!

I don't know who David is and never heard his music (matter of fact, I don't even like goes or jazz unless I'm watching it live), but still love the interviews and story's of great musician's!!! I could tell that you are a big fan of his and I love the setting of that famous club!!! Awesome interview Mitch!!! Keep em coming!!!!

Wow! Great to see David. Being from NY saw him many times. Great player. Funny as he11. Legend. Good job Mitch. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame you watching this?

  • @GregoryStephenSchumacher

He's a legend. Wow. To think he didn't play for over 20 years.

Yeah and if Mitch wasn’t just sticking to a script of somewhat mundane cliche questions, maybe we would know about that period. Luckily David has the gift of gab and was able to give us a lot more insight.

I'm pretty sure David gifted the iconic White Fender Stratocaster George Harrison played at the Bangladesh Concert to George

Why did you insult half your audience in Newton, NJ bringing up your political preference David? It's "all about the music" you said. Not true. After 40 years of seeing you play and enjoying it, for the first time me and 3 with me (and many others in the crowd) walked out.
