Kachupoy is named after a comedian in the 80s (to early 90s) named Kachupoy. Kachupoy haircut usually is split in half and flat and looks wet. The hair mentioned is called Kempee, named after the actor Kempee De Leon. Kempee De Leon use to sport that hairstyle during his matinee/teen idol era.

My mom is pretty much a conservative when it comes to Filipino beauty. Beauty according to her is not trying to look as foreign as possible to how you naturally look, to the point where you look like a “foreigner”. She’s not so fond of thick layer of makeup and dyed hair, or anything that could potentially damage your skin or take away any of your natural look. I’d say I agree with her to some extent, but she’s sort of judge mental about it.

The PH one is very outdated in my Opinion. the Cachupoy is almost the style in many younger generation. We are talking about beauty standards and trends so we must consider all demographics especially those in the younger generation since the make up majority of the Influencers and Social Media users now. If you ask younger Generation the 80's and 90's are actually the real trend and what they call stylish/aesthetic. also many younger generation men and women do care about their skins now. They are heavily influenced by Social media to look good, clean, neat and clear skinned.

Tbh I don't understand the beauty standard in the ph nowadays. People have different preferences. Plus the bowl cut and apple cut that I've seen in korea is also kinda similar to some of the hairstyles that I've seen in filipino kids, Even I had that hairstyle before so idk lol. But yeah wanting to have bright skin is still very common. Filipino features also vary too, we have people here who may also look east asian or south asian so idk some may look mixed. At the end of the day it depends on your ancestry.

The one from the Philippines isn’t even true lol. I don’t know from which province/city in the Ph the lady is from, but from where I lived before and live currently, I’ve seen kababayans with naturally fair skin. And while Filipinos have varied skin tones (from fair to really dark skin), morena or tanned skin is the trend nowadays. More morenas are embracing their skin tone. Generalizations are harmful because I see quite a lot of foreigners telling Filipinos without the stereotypical features that they do not look like one. Please do better, it’s 2023.

oplas itu ada cman ga digembor2in banget dan blm secara luas diterima karna harganya jga mahal lalu ya karna kepercayaan agama. cman klo artis sm public figure udh banyak yg lakuin dan biasa tp skali lagi krn akses uang jg mungkin. oh iya orang2 kelas menengah atas sampai kaya jg banyak yg lakuin ( meski ga terkenal ya lagi2 krn mereka mampu jelas bisa lakuin oplas)
