this is definitely weird but no, I’ve never talked to Mav before! i’ve tried to reach out in the past, especially when he was in Maine (right near where I live) but i’ve never heard back. this is just a very odd coincidence… i’m speechless to say the least lol

Hey Becca, as a truck driver for almost 20 years now I can honestly say that the love and respect that you showed us drivers in your video was great , and muchly appreciated from any driver that watches it I'm sure , iowa 80 is probably my favorite stop but if you want to take a detour heading back east there is a place in Wisconsin on the i94 in a town called Johnson creek , there is a truck stop there and the food is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME , pinecone restaurant in the truck stop above and beyond and soooooo worth the drive but expect to wait for a table for the most part and they have their own bakery you can get stuff in the restaurant and in the store too , my inner fat kid screams YES when I go there , just in case you want another good spot to go lol , keep up the good work and be safe
Yes been at Pinecone restaurant a few times and loved it! It has been awhile and need to stop one of these days!
Just an FYI from a retired truck driver, there are 900 truck parking spots at Iowa 80. Been there many time. Brought back old memories seeing you there

I loved this video! I am from Walcott, Iowa. Yes! There is actually a town where people live! I was raised there, and my dad was mayor for over 16 years. I loved the truck stop. We would go there late nights when I got off work from Hardee's that used to be down the road. The owner of I-80 truck stop was my brother's best man. You brought back a ton of memories for me. Thank you!

The showers at truckstops are usually connected to their rewards program. You get points for dollars spent. At a lot of stops truckers will leave extra shower coupons with the clerks to bless people with because they buy so much gas they always have extras.

You can expect to pay $10 to $17 to shower at a truck stop. Some stops offer free showers if you purchase a certain amount of fuel. You can also join loyalty programs that allow you to cash in rewards for a free or reduced-cost shower.

They also have a semi-tractor and big truck museum all the way back from the 1900s I think to the 70s there's three floors to the and it is huge I've been there many times through my travels

Iowa 80 is the largest truck stop in the nation if not the world. It only has 15 diesel pumps though. Bucee’s is not the largest truck stop but it has the most diesel/gas pumps at 99 pumps at one location. Iowa 80 has more amenities than Bucee’s as well. Bucee’s does have the beef brisket sandwich, anybody will have a hard time beating. Great video!

Awesome video, I love visiting that place, stayed there with my semi truck a couple of times, and truck stop showers like at love's and flying J and pilot are usually around $12. But we mostly get them free every time we fuel up our trucks. That parking lot there can hold a couple hundred truck and trailers there. The floor room is pretty cool too.

Not a trucker but I've done a lot of miles on the Interstates back in the 80's and 90's.
This probably wasn't there then but I would have stopped there of course.

Lots of sleeping in my car at truck stops.
Iowa and Nebraska are two of the states I've never been to. Usually took 70 across the US.
New Mexico had a really neat truck stop.
It was brand new when I stopped there.
Was so happy for her when she finished her shower! Such a hassle, ha, ha.
I've got time on my hands so maybe I'll drive across Iowa and Nebraska.

Sup Becca, the famous Iowa 80 f🤬ing awesome, it's true have showers lol, heard have personal shoppers if know what want, just give list and in hours it's ready, did you see that? Another road trip lol. My x girlfriend that had dairy allergy had me make lots of spinach and kale, when cheated with dairy lots of greens helped, other greens the secrets are vinegar or hot sauce 👍, especially the mustard greens, oh well lol. Hi yes for a shower in all truck stops it is standard price, unless you have the rewards card, any time you fuel Diesel you gain points and showers
born and raised in Iowa every once and a while i head out and check it for the fun of it also should try some fishing in Iowa creeks
@BECCA, I think you should do 3 video ideas. 1 call around to different off ramps and find shower prices lol and 2. Maybe try reaching out to a trucking company ot driving school and ask them to show you around and then do an overnight stay in one of their rigs. They wouldnt need to give u keys but could take a copy of ur license incase etc. Also 3 u may want to reach out to hur local and also out of town trailer sellers. 1 it would be awesome promotion for them and its free. And 2 its great for ur channel and the experience.
The people that own that tuck stop also own a bunch of the land around it. That way, if someone else tries to make their truck stop larger, they can expand their parking lot ensuring they never lose the "World's Largest Truck Stop" title for the foreseeable future. Also, my sister-in-law and nephew both work at the restaurant.

I've been an over the road truck driver for 6 years n I'm always like a kid n a candy store when I get I get to go there. It's a truckers paradise!! It's usually 16 to 25 for a shower but w fueling up to 50 gal.of diesel u get a free one. Prime inc isn't the same as the drink. It has like 900 truck parking spots.

For truckers, the showers are free if you buy at least 50 gallons of fuel.
$16 is on par for the cost of trucker showers, but a lot of truckers are in loyalty programs at places like loves and get free showers

Showers from what I've heard from a buddy of mine, who is a full time trucker, is that they range from $5-$20. You chose a tourist truck stop so the price reflects that imo.
Prime Trucking Inc, has been around way longer then the energy drink. $16. shower at a truck stop pretty standard. Iowa 80 can hold up to 900 trucks. You should have flown the drone at night or dusk when most of the spots would have been full. Especially with all the lights on the trucks, would have been cool. Too bad you didn't go in the museum, its worth it.
I come from a family of truckers, My Dad, Husband, brother, 2 uncles and 2 cousins. And in my old age i think i should have been a trucker too. I like taking long drives and seeing the country.

Are used to drive semi and roast truck stops, I don’t know about that one but if you buy so many gallons of diesel fuel, then the shower is free and it’s a cumulative according to the truckstop so if you get several Phillips of diesel fuel at the same truckstop chain, then your your funds add up until you get a free shower

Truck stops showers are free wth 50gals fuel and good for 7 days, u could have gone to fuel island, asked day cab driver if have any showers on card, they usually home daily and don't use

For FREE SHOWER!!! Major Truck stop have a reward programs. It's a great ways to earn perks and save some money while on the road. Many major truck stop chains offer a free reward programs. You get points, discounts, free showers, food, drinks, etc.
