- I've ran in a lot of Nike shoes across the years but never one in the Nike Trail range. I’d heard very good things about the Nike Pegasus Trail 4 Gore Tex, and having never really found a trail shoe that I had loved, was keen try them.
I got a pair of the Pegasus Trail 4 Gore Tex versions earlier this year as I had a couple of trail races in the calendar to put them through their paces.
To date I’ve run about 200km in the and walked another 50km.
Can Nike bounce back after the disappointment I had with the Invincible 3?

I just love this shoe so much!! I run on mixed terrain and I find them just as good on asphalt as they are on trail. The comfort of the react foam in this particular pair is such that it compares to the zegama or the invincibles themselves. I had to buy two pairs, one for running and one for day to day, and I even gave one pair to my wife, as a daily shoe, and she loves them too.
If I had to pick just one pair of my running shoes, definitely I would take this one.
Like for the video and suscribed 😉
Aah thanks for the like and subscribe Daniel. I think I need to secure myself a second pair before they disappear, especially in my size which are typically harder to get.
Thanks for sharing your experience. How is the grip on wet road? I would like to use the shoe as a road-to-trail one, but I‘ve seen mixed opinions on the grip.
I’ve found them fine on wet roads to be honest. As I showed in the video, on wet soil type terrain the sole is a bit of a magnet for the dirt, that’s the only real issue I have experienced with them so far.
Love this shoe.
It’s a good one. Bought a follow on pair when I eventually wear through mine.
Today Nike malaysia got sale of this shoes for about £68 after conversion. Got it just for the gore tex
That’s a great price! I’m going to be getting a second pair I think as soon as I see some at that kind of price.
Drawbacks: high drop, no rock plate, small lugs. Basically all issues addressed if you move to the Kiger 9s.
Thanks! Despite those drawbacks I think the higher drop and smaller lugs are better for me in the trail stuff I do. If I was looking to tackle some more challenging trail terrain, I’d definitely look at the Krigers, especially also having the react midsole, which has made the Pegasus super comfortable.
No gtx tho.
Sure but GTX only useful in icey conditions@@Fudge_Fantasy
Can i ask, what is the tongue like as i watched another review and he said it can dig into the top of your foot, im hoping its just a problem hes had as i really want these and im mad for watching reviews before i bite the bullet
I’ve had no such issues personally. The tongue is lightly cushioned and I could potentially see that if you were to over tighten the laces you may get some compression onto the top of the foot, but I’ve had no such experience. It’s really well integrated into the shoe overall, not like with some other recent Nike models where there has been a lot of stray fabric in the shoe resulting in hot spots for me.
@@RunSDJ brilliant cheers thats made my mind up, ordering 😁
Great! Let me know how you get on with them. I love them.
I’m a size 9 but got 8.5 because it was the only colorway left on sale. Do you think they will be alright?
Hard to say. Mine fit very much true to size.
