    Great video never had luck with The CRC product tho. Always did a walnut blast (A little more work/effort tho) on the valves. Then I know the valves are carbon free. Every 20,000 still builds alot of carbon I noticed running a catch can helped. I also pulled my injectors and connected a pulse tester/ultrasonic cleanse to keep a good spray pattern replaced injectors o-rings ect.. fixed my running rich on my live data tests. Thanks for the detailed video.

      Thanks, I also run low ash oil that helps keep the carbon down, I plan on adding a couple catch cans when I do the Stuffed Turbo, I have all the parts just finding time and avoiding the heat.

    A lot easier if you have electric seats. Place a stick between the pedal and the seat and fine tune the RPM's :)

    You pull that brake booster hose and spray it. It will make it through the turbo and intercooler.

    I was doing the same exact thing, same vacuum hose, but the engine died, was I doing something wrong? I had my gf inside to rev it and it wouldn’t stay at 2k so it keeps going down and she just revvs it up again. When it died it scared me I thought I broke my car. Also my intake is k&n but I don’t think it matters with it. Should I continue to do it?

      You might need to have something or someone hold the accelerator so it dose not die, I think I used a block to hold it about 2-3k rpm, you can keep going with the cleaning

    what brand of oil exactly did you use. because i heard you mentioned that it’s better for turbos and keeps the carbon buildup down

      @@ikiru1969 and another question. you run that oil all season? asking because I read online that some people use different viscosity in the warmer months.

      I have been running all season, I would suggest getting the deep oil pan, I will be adding a oil cooler, when I do my turbo upgrade,

    Very informative video. I'm planning to also use the crc cleaner on my turbo gdi. I'm wondering if it is safe to use thru the turbo intake instead directly to the throttle body. How is it working out with your car?

    • @ikiru1969
      @ikiru1969  Před 2 lety +1

      It says it is safe for both turbo/intercooler, I am not running a catch can so I like to clean from before the turbo. You can do it at the Throttle Body to get a better cleaning to the intake and valves. I have had no issues using, Just had a Dyno day car ran great.

    I simply vent my pcv, oil cap & breather to atmosphere, never needed to do this

    • @ikiru1969
      @ikiru1969  Před 2 lety

      That is one way from having oil sucked through the turbo and intake system.

  • @5.02valve8
    @5.02valve8 Před 2 lety +1

    Shouldn’t u be spraying the throttle body that’s what goes to the valves the filter is just a turbo inlet u rant the spray through your intercooler when u could’ve ran it directly to the intake ports from the throttle body

    • @ikiru1969
      @ikiru1969  Před 2 lety

      You can do it both ways, depending on how often you clean your valves, both ways get the cleaner into the intake.

    • @ikiru1969
      @ikiru1969  Před 2 lety +1

      You can do it there also, I do mine about the turbo to help clean out any oil that gets sucked through the system.
