Seems fairly easy. Only took this guy 15 minutes.
Hahaha with 2× or 4× speed
With cutting some clips and ×4 speed

And he was also playing with the white ball for a few minutes.. He could have finished for 10 minutes..
It’s not easy and it’s time lapse
Brother I'm very impressed! I've worked for a pool table company and what you did was work! Lifting slate by yourself Damn!🎱
oh yeah especially the part when the frame moves when he puts them on, its almost as if the level of the frame was not going to be affected by this
Hi Bro
notice how the kid never around till heavy lifting done?
LOL it's not that heavy
Getting massive Gran Turismo vibes from the soundtrack - nice one!
For some reason, I was able to watch all 15mins of the video plus ads 😂without getting bored. Great work

Thank u for providing this footage on how to assemble a pool table
Just bought a table and disassembled it, it's similar to yours, so I will attempt to build this weekend. Nice job and thanks for posting!
Have fun with your assembly, hope everything goes well and that the video is going to be helpful. Thanks for watching!
@Luis Gonzalez is the table still in good condition 4 years later?
@@rubenleary8812 still running strong 💪
@@rubenleary8812 yes, table still great..

Those are mutually exclusive things.
OMG 😅 So impressive, might have to challenge myself and do it too… Thank You for the perfect tutorial / relaxing music! Enjoyed every minute/ step ❤ You did a Great Job!
u sound like a bot.
Perfect tutorial? You do realize different tables will be different right lol?
Many thanks for posting this video! I also have a table that looks exactly like yours. Namco is where my dad bought it many years ago. It’s in pieces now from when I moved out. I called up a professional installer and they want $1100 to assemble/level! Which I believe is a couple hundred less that what it costs new. Going to follow this DIY video when it’s time to install.
You *SIR* are a professional. and you assembled it by yourself.. Hats off!
Thank you
What I learned from this video - if I ever get a slate bed pool table then I'll pay a professional to assemble it.
Slate beds are the best that's what I recommend
Zombies Ate My Pizza! Funny how different people think I was just thinking how I was going to love putting mine together. People under estimate themselves. People said I couldn't build a house... Built three... Said I couldn't tune apiano been tuning 2 for ten years.... Now you're telling me I can't put my pool table together
.... You wait

Exactly what I was about to comment
And buy a decent table....
This is fantastic, Tomy. Thanks, man for sharing.
Reminded me of Mr. Rogers. Table looks very nice.
Thats a odd reference, reminded me more of steve harvey
I just started putting together my first pool table in my living room. Now I have an idea of how precise the level of the table need to be, before and after the slates are placed.
Loved the mandolins in the background! Cool video. Thanks!
Thanks Scott.. Those are hand made Mandolins. Glad you liked them...
After watching this video all I can say is that I'm glad my house came with a table 😊
i have the same exact one!! glad i found this video because i had no idea where to start with putting it together. nice work!!
+Michal Kieloch Thanks Michal, I'm happy this will be of use to you:) let me know how it went when you're done..

Great job! No words necessary
My 3 1/2' by 7' one piece slate was so much easier but this was a very good tutorial.
A very nice video. I set up my first table back in 1999. I'll be setting up a usedOlhausen I just bought soon. You're an inspiration.
Thank you 😊, enjoy your Olhausen.
Nice job man that looks great!
I like the color of the felt great color. There is still a dip in this bottom left corner haha i cant believe he didnt see it. He did see that dip is put on purpose for the house. lol Nice drum set as well.
Nice assembly, great looking table mate
Great video Im attempting my own install soon, and Looking at other videos of your great craftmanship ... thanks for the video!!!
That really takes skill putting together a pool table. I doubt I could ever do it that well. I would feel much better hiring someone to do it for me.
It’s not anything near professionally done! It takes weeks to put a table together, letting stuff dry, stretching the felt, hardening the rail ect!
can't wait to set mine up
And I was thinking of building one by myself with some DIY skills!
Beautiful video. Strong Man. Perfect AND hard woking
strong man tomy here lifting 250lb slates with minimal difficulty.
I wouldn’t say minimal... I worked in the steel industry for 22 years so I’m not stranger to heavy lifting.. thanks for watching
Lol those slates were about 100lbs. Not 250.
@@HovingtonInstruments Working in the steel industry didn't hurt but let's face it, you're a large, fairly young, strong man. This is the real reason you can lift those slates not working in the steel industry. I'm sure plenty of steel workers can't lift those slates. Still enjoyed the video very much thank you.
I’m purchasing this table from a buddy. Is it possible to just remove the legs and have about 3-4 guys lift the top during transport? To save the trouble of a entire breakdown and rebuild?
@@Ohiokev 3 months late here but absolutely not. Sectioned slate tables need to be very carefully dismantled and reassembled in order to properly level them together. Even if you did manage to move the entire bed and frame together, you'd just end up having to re-level the slates anyway, so there's no point.
Very very very nice job. A beauty. Thanks for this.

So jealous! Looks amazing!
my dad and i have been going to play pool at the table at our local bowling alley since all the pool halls near us are 21+ and i am not that lol. we do it every weekend and it's super fun because my dad was excellent at pool in university, winning a ton of tourneys and all that, but i suck at it. that tends to make our games pretty one sided, with him winning most of the time. but, a few days ago my dad got news that one of his work friends is trying to get rid of a pool table, and they're willing to let us take it. we go over to their house on the weekend to get it, and i'm so excited to have something to practice on. i'm watching this video to get a better sense of how to put one together before the weekend, and i already feel a lot more confident thanks to this video. also the camera angles and editing and stuff was very aesthetically pleasing, very well done :D
Happy for you, great addition to a home.
This pool table was the same. Someone told me it was free if I took it apart and moved it… I unfortunately do not have a video of the taking apart..
I would suggest to separate and label hardware in ziplock bags and take lots of pictures during the dismantling process..
Best of luck 🙌
Great job extremely hard work
nice job , looks easy , but it is not an easy job , i like how you work smoothly and confident
thank you... it took most of one day to put it together.. thanks for watching

Glad my video gave you a chuckle! In the end what is life worth if you cannot have a good laugh.
Wishing you a great holiday season!
Outstanding how to vid! Still may hire the pro's, but you showed a great example of what exactly needs to be done, and made it look easy enough to try. Thank you for the instructional! Oh by the way noticed the drum set in the corner, was that you playing on some of the background music?
No, it wasn’t me... I bought the drum for the kids... I’m no drum player:)
Well done Tomy, don't listen to idiot's, nice job, how do you keep your cool. Gentleman

That was great. Your work ethic was great, unless it took you all weekend while not changing clothes. Great stuff and nice table, the black felt was a beautiful surprise to me and it's not even my table.
Thanks, it was a day build. Glad you enjoyed the video
@@HovingtonInstruments mine was just delivered today
Thanks for this footage video. Did all the tools came with it ?
This is such a detailed and perfect video! Going to pick up mine this weekend!
Glad this video can be useful to you.. enjoy your pool table
I loved this video. We could have used you. We had 7 old school Brunswick tables recovered at our senior center and they left debris under the cloth on 6 of them. I can't even play anymore because I can't trust the tables. This is pool you can't take mulligans!!
Thanks I have never seen inside a pool table before... but I do know an easy way to move them from A to B and that is to use a car jack. 👍🇳🇿
And the kid shows up after all the work is done!
Hahaha.. indeed he did... Teenage kids right ;)
This video is very helpful. Congrats on so many views. I’m anxious to try it. I used to build and install automation, and one thing to know about bubble levels is that unless it is an expensive calibrated level, it’s unlikely to be accurate, but of course it’s not rocket science. A work around is to check for level, then rotate the level 180 degrees and check again. If the level is accurate it will read the same in both positions, and if not then it’s off. If it’s off then simply average the results and make adjustments so that the level reads the same in both positions, which might not be a centered bubble.
I installed professionally for 15 yrs...we used a machinist level...way too accurate for a pool table but as u can figure by using that the level was spot on!

Nice video man !
Nice music and good vídeo
Bravo!
This seems like a lot of fun to setup! Hope I have money one day...
I'm probably going to be doing that tomorrow. A relative got a used table. Said it's apart, the slate and felt is off. I didn't know to use bees wax in the joints, I've never put one together before. We'll see how it goes, I think I'm going basically just to carry stuff.
Some people use putty for the joints, but over time it can break and turn to dust. If you vacuum your felt then it will get the dust through the felt and leave a mark along the seam. Not something I was willing to risk with a black felt, have fun tomorrow :)
@@HovingtonInstruments Thanx for that, I really liked the bees wax trick you used. I haven't even seen the table, he apparently got it very cheap, said it's about 20 years old, he said the guy told him he paid $2,000 for it though. Still about 8 or 10 hours before we are supposed to go get it, he said he's going to rent a trailer. I asked him if there was any real wood on it, he said there was. I notice you leveled that thing a lot in the video, I hope our carpenters levels are accurate enough.
Clint Walker installers use a higher precision level. That’s why you see me used the cue ball to find what my level wasn’t picking up. As for quality, 2000 20 years ago could be really nice. Mine was free as long as I was talking it apart and moving it.
@@HovingtonInstruments I just got home, the table wasn't as nice as I thought it was going to be. The skirt was particle board and plywood, when I was a kid in the 60's it seems to me most pool tables were made of real hardwood. It does have 3 nice pieces of heavy slate though, although it looked like the seams were filled with drywall joint compound and not very well. We'll spend some days trying to level it and I think he is going to try to find bees wax for the joints. It will be good enough for a basement pool table for his son to learn how to play pool. Thanx for your great video and comments!!
Thanks for doing this video. Wedidn’t want to pay for someone else to do it.
What an excellent video. Thanks for posting it. What brand is the table and how is it holding up so far?

you should put staplers in pockets for the cloth in the pocket wont fall
+TheManchesterGuy/TMG Official this model does not have wood to staple it to underneath, I added extra glue to prevent this from happening. Thanks for watching:)

Sorry new to pool table buying. I love pool and want the best. How do i filter out crappy pool tables and buy the best? Also with a skilled installation like this jedi wizard knight!
Usually a pool table supplies store is a good way to get information and to seek a certain quality to budget. They usually also offer installation by qualified (Jedi) installers. Thanks for watching
What's the cut out for if the balls stay on the pocket? Looks like a bal return cutout.
Very clean.

How many times have you setup these tables? I know some sort of trial and error has taken place in the past. Awesome video man.
Good idea
like legos for adults, honestly looks like something i'd love to do as a job lmfao
MUY BONITO PERO COMO SE DESPIEZA
From someone in the industry for 19 years, you didn't do a bad job for your first attempt. Like any other skilled trade, there are a lot of tricks that you pick up by doing it over the years, and having the right tools definitely helps any job!
For curiosity sake, after trying it, would you hire a pro the next time? Would you recommend the casual homeowner without a skilled trade background to hire a pro?
Thanks for the feedback Josh, I’m really happy on how it plays. The balls keep their lines and I don’t believe it to be too fast nor to slow. So to answer your question if I had to move the table again, I would do it by myself... again. That being said, the table came with a black cloth and if/ or when I need to replace it, I will change the colour. I don’t feel comfortable replacing the cushions felts, which means i will hire someone to do that and the table cloth at the same time.
Like you have said I have been in the trades for a long time and a lot of years were involving a lot of complex assembly... also growing up as a kid, I was around tradesmen ( father, grandfathers, and uncles). I did pick up a lot of how to at a young age. Although it is a nice challenge for anyone to put their new table together, no, I wouldn’t recommend it for someone who might have any doubts about their personal skills.
A professional installation will always be optimal. In my case , I know I’ve played on a lot worse over the years and although I am really happy of my install, it’s most likely not optimal. Thanks for watching, and talking the time to post this comment..
@@HovingtonInstruments Fast or slow is a matter of preference, and the felt is chosen accordingly.
You can use bondo on the slate seems it’s way easier than the bees wax
Hi Sir. You have any comments about that Imperial table after 6 years? I just pick up the same one but 9ft for $300. I’m about to replace the rail cushions and cloth. But I’m concerned about that quality. Truly appreciate your opinion. Thank you very much.
That is a amazing job wish I could do that well done
Only thing I did noticed when u put the slate on the table did move a little .but not really that important how much did that cost to buy ?
Thanks, I did double check after the bump but didn’t show it in the video.
Table was free as long as I took it apart at the original location and moved it out.
I was extremely lucky!
A year later....can I ask: how did the glue hold without staples? And there were some pretty big gaps between the slate that you filled w wax. Have you noticed any movement between the slate pieces?
Hi Doogie. This model does not have any stapling wood for the felt. Can only be glued. The glue hold well except for one pocket where one wedge unglued.( quick fix) . as for the gaps haven’t noticed any changes or disruption while playing. The slates were also screwed prior to adding the beeswax . My son and I play occasionally , and I do play with friends. Thanks for watching!
Great job! What is the distance between side of pool table and wall?
Wow that was interesting
