- What is blood pressure? Nursing. This is just a short and very BASIC explanation of blood pressure to help you understand. I created this on my TikTok but thought it would be worth a share here for anyone who does use TikTok. I hope this helps :) thanks for watching.

Morning! Aw amazing thank you :) so glad this has helped. It’s literally the basics to help people understand better. There’s 101 different processes that goes on in the body but it’s way more important to be able to understand it than all the jargon :)

Hi Claire, another awesome upload, thank you and keep up the great work. Never underestimate how much theses videos inspire your viewers who have high hopes to follow in your footsteps. I'm still ploughing on in my new role as a Health Care Support Worker and loving it all; the job, the staff, the patients, the learning, the environment. Next stop on the journey... I'm pushing for an OU nursing course place via work, but it's still super early days. Working all the extra Bank shifts I can manage to build my experience and knowledge and staying super focused and positive for the journey. @@ClaireCarmichael Thank you! Hopefully it'll be fully funded, but I'm prepared to cover the costs myself if not, fingers crossed. I'm busy re-watching nursing statement advice and interview technique videos just now and thinking about an upcoming interview for a more acute ward than my present one (I've a couple of bank shifts lined up there this week pre-interview) as a better base to learn from. Stay safe and keep smashing the content, great to see you going from strength to strength as both a nurse and a presenter.x 😃
@@ClaireCarmichael Update time... I got the job! Not sure when I'll actually start, waiting on HR to get in touch now and go from there. I'm so pleased my mentors had faith in me enough to encourage me to go for it. Massive positive step in the right direction, it'll be such a top place to learn nursing from (an acute assessment ward). I'm still in shock tbh, but good shock needless to say. So now the real work begins I guess! Wish me luck as they say... 😲😕🤞😁

This is always such helpful information! Nobody seems to actually explain this in nursing school which I find bizarre! I found this out through my own curiosity, but I still have never been taught this and I'm halfway through year 2 👀😬
What?!! Really?! That’s crazy! This is something we were taught at uni 🙈 but it was all complicated lol! X
@@ClaireCarmichael yep! We were told what systolic and diastolic were in regards to which way around they go but that's it 🤦🏽♀️ x
