- More than sports, more than politics…in Chicago, nothing makes you pick sides more than the infamous DEEP DISH PIZZA debate! 😂🍕 Giordano's? Lou Malnati's? Pequod's? Gino's? The gloves come off when people defend their choice 😂 You could say it all comes down to personal preference, so today I’m taking you to my personal favorite spot in the city, where I’m meeting up with one of my best friends for lunch! 🤗 What is your favorite deep dish in Chicago??

Once met up with a couple of friends from Brooklyn and asked them if they’ve tried Chicago style Pizza. They said they had but didn’t like it because it had a cornbread like crust. I took them to a nearby Lou Malnati’s. They became converts.

Deep dish is basically for tourists. The best pizza in Chicago is Pete’s Pizza on Western.
Hahah I have no shame - I absolutely love it 😂 I’ve never been to Pete’s but I’ll have to give it a try the next time I’m in the city - looks delicious! 🍕💯

@@KeanuPitt Huh? It’s not possible for me to work there. 1. I’m not Mexican and 2, I live in another state now. I lived in Chicago my whole life for 1964 on and have had pizza all of the city and Pete’s on western is the best in the city hands down.

Loumalnatis is just slightly thicker thin crust. Giordano’s is actual actual deep dish.
its actually the opposite.. Giordano's is chicago style stuffed pizza.. Lou's is deep dish.
Yeah…. If American restaurants can stop taking credit cards in to “the back” that’d be great. Weirds me out too.

I’m from the UK and there’s two different Chicago deep dish places in my city but the crust of the pizza is two different styles so I don’t know which one is authentic. Does the crust actually taste like a pie or does it taste like normal pizza crust?
Far more of a bread texture. Almost a pizza, but heavier by far

I love pizza. Had a deep side pizza and it's disgusting - just way too much cheese. It's like at least 3x the regular pizza....Why? Like eating a block of cheese. Just eat a NYC pizza like a normal person.
From the Detroit area. Been to Chicago tried a few places and thought it was horrible lol I'm sorry Detroit style is SO much better 😁
