Translation. Max layering is 3 using screen aluminum n cloth to catch the roots. So they ll grow vertically.Bottom is wider so water can’t macerated the seeds. He is using 5lbs Ming beans from China n it gives u full large container that u see. Ur sharpest knife to cut off the roots n stems for separation. Water at 6am n 6pm only . He stated to contact him directly n his phone number if u have any questions. N he is from Tennessee currently. The sprout is ready when the green skin she’ll just fall off the yellow seed itself about 5 days. The cloth can be reused multi times when roots are removed washed n dried. My opinion: I would safe plastic instead aluminum screen to prevent heavy metal toxicity. He didn’t mention changing bottom water n u should daily to prevent bacteria growth. N eat lots sprout is good for u cuz highly live enzyme ready to liven up ur cells. Ok enjoy ur sprouting😆 p. S for those don’t speak Pali n Prakrit, he address u as viewers as “god being ”. Super ancient n high consciousness culture .... the dam western just ruined it w their modernization leading the ancient folks to demonic world.

Thanks to this video, now we know how to do it at home and just "cut, wash and eat"... need no plucking of long roots ever since. I use a stainless steel flour sifter and a cheese cloth to create the same effect in my miniature garden at home. I learn a lot by watching this person on the video. He is a "green" person. It reminded me of the time I was in CA and compliant with a lot of green policies esp carry own reusable shopping bags and containers. Now that I moved to the Midwest and I almost forgot how to live green. People use a lot of disposable supplies. This Laotian uncle is great. He picks reusable and recyclable items. The cloth's color is earth's color and chlorophyll stain. The look could scare some people who love lily white chemically bleached "paper towel" kind of materials, but they do not know that their shiny waxed produce were in contact with dirty cloths and dirt prior. Just different types of people.

People might think this cloth is not sterile, but fail to recognize that in restaurant production, it is in restaurant owner's best interest to always use sterile method. these cloths may be old but can be easily sterilized of all bacteria by putting them in stainless steel container, adding detergent and extremely hot (boiling) water over cloth, then putting lid over top and let sit until cool to pour out, rinse and dry. No harmful bacteria can withstand that heat.

I am sorry that people here who have children with asthma and other allergies because of their 'high cleaning standards' have been so insulting. Dirt grows the things they eat after all. I am sure you know what you are doing. Thank you for the very clear instructions. When the meat runs out we will all be eating this.

This appears to be similar to the way I've seen it done in huge quantities for retail sale. In retail companies (that sell them by the bag or by the can) the tubs are 5-7 feet tall and wide. Although I can't understand the words, the demonstration tells me a lot. Thank you for sharing. Wondering now where to get the wire cloth at a decent price.

the secret to 'without roots' is the fine wire mesh (stainless steel easily available) which is infinitely reusable. But the cloths are something else... they look revolting. I have tried this method with simple layers of paper towels and just chucked the paper towels in my compost bin, roots and all.

+Gillian Birdsall your comment was attached to my mention of a metal grid. I did not mention water, tap or otherwise, hence inappropriate. I note you made other positive comments on this thread hence you also seem inconsistent. What do you know of the water here in Brittany? Your disgusting comment says far more about you than my tap-water.

I tried to reduce the no. of the seeds and the water, but it seemed not really helpful,

He said they would just leave them there and seal up the entrances.

+Escape From NY - I have watched How to grow Mung bean sprouts ( 5 step by step part 1 and 2 ) which show a slightly different method (not scraping the roots off). And it helps to show the drainage process. I can see the approximate amount of water used, but I still don't know how many times a day the rinsing is done. Anyone know? Is it just like with smaller batches, 2-3 times a day? Wow, that's a lot of work for someone that might have a bad back but it really is worth it!!

rubbermaid storage bins are not food safe, and what's wrong with eating the roots if you don't let them get too long? these sprouts are very thin and not really ready, somehow all the nutrition went into the roots? its okay but seems unaesthetic and unsanitary, and yes I am a farmer/gardener but this does not appeal to me. Probably good for institutional growing like for a cafeteria or large family. Wonder if Seventh Generation unbleached paper towels would work which can then be tossed onto the compost pile?

I love the convenience of plastics but have taken heed to not use them around food as much as I used to. We all have storage bins and kitchen equipment, etc. that are offgassing all the time, kinda scary if true. Just sayin' to share since sprouts are newbies into the world and so vulnerable to all elements.
