I hope it’s coming to Switch. If not I’ll still get it on steam but I personally find it more comfortable to game with my Switch compared to my Laptop.
@@lewis9s SMTV runs on Switch, but I'd hardly say it runs well. There's some parts of the overworld which chug down to 20FPS or lower (the Chiyoda region of the map in particular performs notoriously poorly) and the game can't maintain a stable 1080p resolution while docked or 720p undocked - it fluctuates at around 720p docked and as low as 540p undocked. I'd love to see ATLUS try to get P3R running on Switch but, if their past Unreal games are any indication, then I can see why they might be hesitant.
In my opinion, the reason we have yet to see a trailer for the Switch version of the game is because it still requires further optimisation, and Atlus is hesitant to show it off until it looks and runs well enough.

Depending on how much content is on P3R, I could be delayed to a later date then the initial date of release for many things such as making models and assets have less polygons and such so the memory is smaller so the switch can handle it, decrease the FPS so it is compatible with the switch among many things I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't come to the switch but I wouldn't be surprised if it did, it probably will take longer It's also a possibility that P3R will be a launch title for Nintendo's next console and won't be releasing on the switch at all so there are many possibilities, we just have to wait and see
I really hope we get it on the switch. Although I own a PS5 I prefer to play anime games on the switch, I like how comfortable it is and the graphics aren’t much different when it comes to anime games.

Here after 7 months...the games released but no switch ver😢. I heard theres gonna be a nintendo direct maybe in February so who knows...maybe it will be announced there👀??
Personally I think during that direct we are going to get a new switch announcement with p3r being one of the titles we get on it, along with metaphor, that's my personal idea though, no actual evidence or anything

I really don't think it would make sense for them to not announce the switch 2 during the next direct considering there aren't really any big games that we know about yet, like we have mario spinoffs but that's it so unless they decide to announce some new mario game for the later half of the year i just don't think keeping the switch 2 secret would make sense.
Bulding the tunnel to Portia is absolutely my favorite part of the game. Even though I didn’t play a lot of Portia (due to it admittedly not being the best experience on Switch lol 😅 - I played Sandrock on PS5 this time around so as not to make that mistake again!) I love seeing how the world is connected! The world-building in this game is phenomenal and makes me excited to see what Pathea has in store for this series going forward ✨😁
Only 2 minutes in to the video but what I was worried about performance since the recommended specs are way above what I have and I primarily play on the steam deck due to not being home and then you mention it plays very well on deck, can’t wait to check this one out and see how it goes
Considering listings it's most definitely coming to the switch, dunno why it wasn't in the direct however... actually wasn't all of the games in the direct coming this year? I either see it as a successor announcement this year, or them just trying to flesh out their schedule for 2023

I know has passed a lot of time since this video got uploaded, but for someone who is reading this, a quick summary about that store: That store is called Xtralife. Xtralife is an Spanish retailer and they didn't actually had any lead whatsoever about if Persona 3 Reload was to be launched on the Nintendo Switch or not. They simply put the option to see the product on their website just to prepare things before actual announcement or release. This behaviour in Spain it's normal. In fact, sometimes they fake the Cover art in their physical stores to simply tell their customers that they can preorder a certain game if they don't have the Official cover art yet. So yeah, even though they put Persona 3 Reload for Nintendo Switch on their website, that doesn't mean that they have some sort of clue telling if the game will be released on Switch.
the last direct was focused on games releasing at the end of 2023, with a couple announcements like the peach game and luigis mansion for 2024. the next direct in september will focus on games coming out early 2024 so p3re will most likely be there, and if its not then its not coming to switch at release
switch version would be my choice. Its my jrpg machine. Now mind you if performance gets hit too badly or graphics downgrade is significant I will simply choose ps5 :)

So until Nintendo, Atlus, or Sega confirms that it’s coming to Switch, consider it as a potential rumor and not definitive proof that a Switch version is guaranteed to exist.

You’re missing out on at least 30-40% more sales, nobody in Japan uses a console other than the switch. The only reason Persona 5 did well in Japan is because the PS4 was the only console that was pumping out JRPGs at the time, the switch didnt even release when the game came out. But nowadays the PS5/PS4 sales have stagnated in Japan, and far less people in Japan use any consoles whatsoever. They only use the switch, even if it sells well in the west, Atlus always prioritizes their domestic market.
It can run just fine? Persona 5 Royal doesn't even look that much worse than P3R and that game runs at 30FPS consistently on the switch, and looks just fine. However trying to port it takes time and money which I don’t blame Atlus for not spending the trouble developing a Nintendo Switch version alongside the main version. The ports will either take a significant amount of effort or be terrible or even both. I get that Atlus may lose sales but I more so think of it as a balancing act. How many potential sales they lose from slipping/delaying a Switch port vs how much resource they have to sink into Switch development and testing vs the potential risk to sales/reputation if the Switch version simply can’t keep up and the port sucks. But then you have the possibility of the Nintendo switch 2 which would solve pretty much most if not all the problems. But that’s a theory. @@siuchaos2606
They have the backing of Sega, Atlus is not some tiny little studio anymore. Persona 5 has sold over 8 million copies on its own. They have plenty of money to make a switch version, the amount of money they lose on not providing a switch version is way higher than them going through the trouble of porting it. The Nintendo Switch. is not some incredibly difficult console to port games over to. Nor is it difficult to optimize games for the switch, P3R is not an insanely graphical intensive games, it's on the same level as Persona 5 Royal which runs perfect on the switch. It's simply stupid to create a JRPG and only put it on PS5 / Xbox / PC, all consoles which Japanese people (a large portion of consumers for JRPGs) do not use or care about. You can see this with Soul Hackers 2, a decent game all things considered which sold only 40-50k first week, whereas with the Switch it likely would've sold way more. Atlus doesn't pay you, defending their garbage consumer practices like locking games from a huge market is a garbage financial decision. It's also not even selling as well as it should. A million copies within a few days isn't impressive for Persona anymore. Persona is a mainstream franchise now, it's not some tiny obscure little series anymore. Persona 4 Golden came out in 2020 when Persona was way less popular and still sold 1 million copies in a similar amount of time (1 million sold in a few weeks) despite only being on PC. And that was a re-release which likely took 10% of the budget of P3R to release onto the PC as a port. P3R is out on Xbox, Playstation, and PC, and can barely out-sell a port from 2020 in sales despite being more popular as a series than ever. It's not even selling that much quicker than Persona 4 Golden being released only on PC, despite being multi-platform. The game is also much more costly and has been in development and anticipated for many many more years. It would sell way more copies with a switch release. It's always a good idea to release a JRPG on switch. Your points for not releasing it on switch are so idiotic it's funny. I played Octopath Traveler 1 & 2 and Live a Live on the Switch, all three games built using UE, all of them were fantastic

I doubt P3RE got any problems, after all SMTV Is also in UE and on switch, which is pretty similar to it
SMT V has some pretty severe performance issues to be fair... but P3's dungeons should be nothing to run compared to the open world areas of SMT

You may get some downgrade with the graphics but it can easily be put on the switch. Don't know why you're so against it, i'm just saying it's idiotic to make a JRPG and not put it on the switch. Even Final Fantasy has been selling worse, simply because they got rid of the Japanese market, which Persona is slowly doing. No offense, but nobody checks for persona on Xbox, and on Playstation, a majority being 80% are going to be from the west. Nintendo has almost 60+% of the market share in Japan. However trying to port it takes time and money which I don’t blame Atlus for not spending the trouble developing a Nintendo Switch version alongside the main version. The ports will either take a significant amount of effort or be terrible or even both. I get that Atlus may lose sales but I more so think of it as a balancing act. How many potential sales they lose from slipping/delaying a Switch port vs how much resource they have to sink into Switch development and testing vs the potential risk to sales/reputation if the Switch version simply can’t keep up and the port sucks. But then you have the possibility of the Nintendo switch 2 which would solve pretty much most if not all the problems. But that’s a theory. @@siuchaos2606
They have the backing of Sega, Atlus is not some tiny little studio anymore. Persona 5 has sold over 8 million copies on its own. They have plenty of money to make a switch version, the amount of money they lose on not providing a switch version is way higher than them going through the trouble of porting it. The Nintendo Switch. is not some incredibly difficult console to port games over to. Nor is it difficult to optimize games for the switch, P3R is not an insanely graphical intensive games, it's on the same level as Persona 5 Royal which runs perfect on the switch. It's simply stupid to create a JRPG and only put it on PS5 / Xbox / PC, all consoles which Japanese people (a large portion of consumers for JRPGs) do not use or care about. You can see this with Soul Hackers 2, a decent game all things considered which sold only 40-50k first week, whereas with the Switch it likely would've sold way more. Atlus doesn't pay you, defending their garbage consumer practices like locking games from a huge market is a garbage financial decision. It's also not even selling as well as it should. A million copies within a few days isn't impressive for Persona anymore. Persona is a mainstream franchise now, it's not some tiny obscure little series anymore. Persona 4 Golden came out in 2020 when Persona was way less popular and still sold 1 million copies in a similar amount of time (1 million sold in a few weeks) despite only being on PC. And that was a re-release which likely took 10% of the budget of P3R to release onto the PC as a port. P3R is out on Xbox, Playstation, and PC, and can barely out-sell a port from 2020 in sales despite being more popular as a series than ever.
It's not even selling that much quicker than Persona 4 Golden being released only on PC, despite being multi-platform. The game is also much more costly and has been in development and anticipated for many many more years. It would sell way more copies with a switch release. It's always a good idea to release a JRPG on switch. Your points for not releasing it on switch are so idiotic it's funny.
