  • Bass fishing and weather go hand and hand. Really learning how to deal with weather conditions on the fly is the difference between being a good bass fisherman and a great bass fisherman.
    The best bass fishing tip that I could give you is always pay attention to the weather and what it is going to be doing when you will be on the water. This will allow you to know what to expect and how to adjust quicker than normal, making you better than normal!

    I recently had a tournament, and it rained hard and high winds. Most of my big bass was caught during the worst of the storm. When the storm blow over the bite died.

    Thanks for the great info! Spent the entire day trying to make the chatterbait bite work when it was sunny and calm in a super grassy lake...I knew better too hah.

    Is there a rule of thumb for cloudy vs. sunny? It seems your saying there is, but I’m not sure I got it. Mind clarifying, would be appreciated. 😀 love your teaching style

    Once again great video! If you get this and read it was wondering if you’d be able to give your insight on Fishing the fall period And having weather changes like warm weather to cold or cooler weather, cooler weather and rain and things of that nature. Would like to see a video done like this

    Hey Tyler great video by the way we always enjoy watching your stuff and we've learned a lot from you. I am having an issue learning how to use plastics I want to use worms and flukes and things like that and I try my hardest but I don't get the job done. I've watched a million videos of yours and I still can't get it so could you just give me a little information on what I might do to start for my very first catch would it be a Texas rig and I just leave it sit cuz I don't know thanks 💙💙

    Tyler, I’m late to this video, but it’s perfect for the scenario I’m getting ready to face. I have a club tournament in 9 days. Today and next 3 days will be in the 80s, 60s at night. Then a few days in the 70s. Water temps on Santee Cooper are already in the 60s and fish in full spawn. Water could warm into upper 60s over the next week.
    Friday before the tournament, the high will be in the 50s, dropping into 30s Friday night. Then a bluebird sky day of tournament. For the spawning flats, will fish stay on their beds? Does a cold front during the spawn require downsizing of line and bait like in the fall? If spawning near cypress trees, stumps and docks, will the just be tighter to cover? Does this eliminate the buzzbait and frog bite and drive the focus more to slow plastics? I plan to fish a spawning flat that is bordered by 7-8 ft of water. Will they back off into the deeper water or stay in 2 feet?
    Thanks for the help!

    @BassFishingHQ great vid I love these videos so much insight packed in.... I do wonder how it does apply to the FL strain bass which seem to be very moody when the front or clouds come as opposed to getting juiced up with the sun! I think they do roam with the clouds but doesn’t mean they will be active I think they do go down deeper and roam deeper and then the bite is reactionary not so much topwater... at least for the fl strain

      What you are saying makes sense man. The FL strain definitely is a little bit of a different fish. If anything they remind me of a northern smallmouth, which sounds weird..but they also love the sun and seem to roam deeper with clouds

    I recently bought a few mag draft. I am in west Texas. What weather conditions should I fish them. Do you role then slow on bottom or keep them up?

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  Před 3 lety

      I like a little bit of a ripple on the water and typically sun or cloudy conditions. I also like a medium slow retrieve keeping the bAit just off the bottom

    Brother, I need some advice! A friend of mine gave me a bunch of crankbaits!!! Is there any way to take a "educated guesstimation" on how to tell how deep they will dive?

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  Před 3 lety

      The bigger/longer the lip the deeper they will dive typically. However; I would try to find what brand and model they are...then you can look them up online as far as what depth they will dive. You could also bring them into a store like Bass Pro and compare the size lips to some other crankbaits that you know the running depth of. Let me know if this helps

    Do you believe that fishing with an east wind is not productive?

    • @BassFishingHQ
      @BassFishingHQ  Před 3 lety

      I think it depends on the lakes. Fish are always biting somewhere...I know that. Some lakes that might have prevailing west winds..I do believe the East wind causes things to unproductive. However, like I said, the bass are always biting somewhere. You just have to find them
