  • I finally solved how to fix issues with your Samsung washer when it spins, fills up with water, and repeats over and over, and also how to fix issues when your washer shakes over and over and stops running during the spin cycle, showing a UE or DC code.
    Or, if you want to buy the suspension rods, they are available on Amazon at this link amzn.to/3S9abDg

    Thank you for this excellent video! I followed your advice and used the zip ties to lock 2 1/2" pieces of cut garden hose around the springs and my washer works perfectly now. Prior to this, I was shopping for a new washer. In 30 minutes you helped me fix a problem at no cost other than some old hose and zip ties I had in my garage. You are awesome and thanks again for posting this!

    Fixed issue with my Samsung. Bolt was already tight. Purchased 1 feet piece of 1 inch inner diameter vinyl pipe. Cut four 2 inch pieces, spliced open vertically and wrapped around each spring and tied each with 3 wire ties. 1 inch inner diameter does not fully wrap around spring and small gap is left but don’t worry it fixed my problem and now washer does not wobble and completes the cycle again. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. 🙏🏽

    Samsung Washer WA5451ANW XAA 02
    Used 2 ft. PVC Disposal Discharge Hose -Home Depot ($5.99 -5/2022)
    Additionally, to stop too much side to side motion- Lodged commercial cleaning sponges between washer drum and metal body (front, both sides & back). There was thin, worn sponge already.in these areas.
    Access- Moved machine 1.5 feet away from wall and propped machine back with a cinder block under the front-- to get 2 front springs
    With machine standing regularly, Took off thin metal panel off machine back to reach in and get back springs while sitting on floor. Also stuffed sponges on both sides and at the back of the drum from this area.
    Opened washer lid (as if washing clothes) and squeezed sponge under front lip between the front of the washer drum and metal front of the washer.

    This was the perfect fix! Samsung and the other manufacturers have upgraded the suspension rod springs which have a spring damper on them. This is a good fix . I cut 4 1/4” lengths of 5/8 hose sliced vertically and wrapped the spring with the length I cut and used three zip ties per rod. Works perfectly! Thank you for the advice! Wade

    Washer was having this issue and vibrating violently. After researching a bit, I came to the conclusion I needed to replace the suspension rods. After successfully doing so, my problem still persisted.
    Then, I came across your video, and it was the first time anyone suggested a loose bolt under the agitator plate. Checked mine and found I could easily turn it with my fingers. After tightening it, my problem was resolved.
    Wish I came about your video the first time, would have saved me a couple bucks. The rods were probably due to be replaced anyways. Thanks for your video! Saved me a lot of frustration.

    Well, I followed all the instructions using pieces of garden hose, but I am still getting the unbalanced clunking. i also made sure the center bolt was tight in the drum. I appreciate the video which allowed me to figure out how to get the rods replaced. Thanks!

      UPDATE. I got 4 new suspension rods and put them in and it spins like a dream now! The rods were about $72 for the four pack and it was another 5 bucks for some lithium grease that I placed on the surface of the plastic piece at the top of the spring and the place where the top of the rod sits in the washer frame. It made a slight squeaking noise during the first run, but that's was gone by the third load. No more knocking and rocking!! Thank you for showing how easy it was to remove and replace these rods.

      @joshuaclanton2360 Před 2 lety +2

      I started dealing with this problem and tried all these things and had the same problem you did. Once I started thinking about it I ended up taking apart the white plastic yoke that’s cradled on the far end of the spring with the rod in the center. I noticed there was damaged rubber material inside of these jokes and starting to realize what this piece of hardware did. A couple of years ago I replace the damaged rubber with fuel line I altered to fit inside of the yolk But it’s only last about a year. I do feel the engineering department this company could’ve done a lot better on the dampening design with this shock absorbing system

    The 30 dollar amazon specials fixed mine(at least for now) instantly. After seen lots of stuff about the special grease, I was worried when these arrived, as the old ones were very sticky and shock absorber like. Much more than the new ones. But they work just fine. This machine is getting close to that magic part obsolete no replacement age. I'd pay $2000 dollars for a NIB 1960s or 70s American machine with mechanical controller. THOSE were built to last, and they did.

    I do appliance repair and I've been looking for a way to fix these rods. Some of the Samsung rods are almost $100 apiece. This looks like a great idea! Now, I do have to mention that the nut on his machine is nowhere near tight enough. They are either hammered on with a spanner wrench or an impact wrench. There is no way possible to even get it close to tight enough with channelocks.

  • @mikemorgan5015
    @mikemorgan5015 Před 10 měsíci +2

    Here's my take on the situation. It's the logic programmed into the controller. Only it's not programmed for bad hanger rods not doing their dampening job. The controller thinks the load is off balance beyond it programmed tolerance. The machine is programmed to refill and agitate in order to rebalance the load without human intervention. And since the bad rods make just about every load give an off balance command, it keeps doing it again and again. Feel free to comment, correct, complain, etc.

    Many of the new washers have gone to the 4 rod suspension. I just had a amana washer suspension rods go bad (shock absorbers). The amana had piece of rubber like material which dampens the up-down and back and fort movement of the drum. I tried a similar method of pipe insulation wrapped around the rod. It would help the up and action, but not the sideways action. Parts are extremely scarce right now, somes are months on back order. These units should have a balancing spring between upper tub and the suspension rod for more stability. I opted the get a new washer (which is hard to do with most units on back order.

    I just replaced all my suspension rods, made sure the washer is level, recalibrated it, and made sure the bolt was tight. Still having the unbalanced load problem???

    Just want to let everyone know there was a class action lawsuit for this in canada and usa. Mine is having the same problem and found the lawsuit. Some people were injured because during high rotation it came off the support and literally the machine casing popped out.

    Samsung WA48J7700A Washer - wrapped a thick vinyl pipe around the rods and tied them down with zip ties. It stiffened the suspension rods so much that instead of looping the rinse spin cycle, the washer vibrates madly to the point where I have to shut it off before it explodes. Not good.

    Different models but the buttons and cycles look the same Samsung WA45H7000AP/A2. The inside is huge and looks great but I don't see the point if the water only fills up only 1/4 of the tub on the Normal cycle. Is this normal? I can see clothes on top just standing there instead of being underneath the water getting washed. Do you know how to get the machine to fill up with water more than the half way point? Also I cant figure out how to calibrate it. Did you ever figure out how to calibrate yours?

    • @PoeLemic
      @PoeLemic Před 9 měsíci +1

      Yes, I am curious also. Guy above seemed to say that his dampeners were too far gone, so he replaced them -- after trying the fix. And, the replacement made it like brand new.

    i believe hose clamps would do a better job than the wire

    • @PoeLemic
      @PoeLemic Před 9 měsíci

      Damn, are you a genius. Yes, that's the right way to fix it. Also, guy above said that he bought 1 inch plastic pipe and cut it. Because garden hose is too small. So, I plan to buy bigger pipe and see if I can fix it that way. But, I love your suggestion. That so brilliant.
