Even though buffalo didn't get mcdavid that year but I'm just as happy with eichel. Sabres aren't gonna be good right away like Toronto or Edmonton who have been at it for awhile they need a couple for picks maybe a another free agent.

With 22 goals & 69 points as of Feb. 27th, Eichel is showing that he is growing into the great team player (not the solo hotdog like McDavid) and leader that Buffalo hoped he'd be when they drafted him. Once their core players get experience, plus Rasmus Dahlin and a re-signed Jeff Skinner...watch out!!!

David Young And... As of June 2020, McDavid has 3 straight 100 point seasons and nearly had 4 before covid 19 and gets to play in the playoffs while Eichel enjoys golfing for the 5th straight season. It's funny because Eichel is way more of a solo hotdog than McDavid is. McDavid gets 60 assists every season , while Eichel hogs the puck.

Aaron Shattuck McDavid has won a playoff series and a bunch of trophies. Sabres only started doing well when they added Skinner and drafted Dahlin, and Eichel still isn't preforming at the "generational" standard that everyone says he was in even though he now plays on a good team. Draft Order 2015: McDavid, Rantanen, Marner, Eichel lol.

Bryce Clark ehh that's a tough one, I'm a die hard Sabres fan but I think Jack has got a little work to do. No question Eichel is a beast and can score goals at the drop of hat!! But right now McDavid is playing lights out. But with a new coach in Phil Housley? I know Jack is only gonna put up some better numbers and he's only getting started.

Eichel: Has yet to hit 90 ponts( McDavid had 3 straight 100 point seasons before having a 97 point season that was cancelled by Covid) Zero 40 goal seasons. Zero playoff games played. Zero Trophies. Zero confidence in his hope and future in Buffalo...

Eichel shouldn't even have been top 5 in the 2015 draft. 2015 was such a deep year, and somehow everyone was claiming Eichel was "generational." Rantanen is leading the league in points currently, McDavid is at least 3 times better than Eichel, and Marner is pretty much equal to Eichel. Boeser is also arguably as good too.

If the season were to end today he would more than likely be the Hart Trophy Winner (MVP). He's the reason we (Buffalo) are one of the best in the league. 45 in 34 is elite, and the way he plays is "Generational"
Kyle8675 If we had the Hart trophy debate today, Eichel would not even be close to near the top the list. McDavid has more points in less games and doesn't have a proven 30 goal scorer on his line like Eichel does with Skinner. McDavid has 49 points on 98 total Oiler goals, and the Oilers are in a playoff spot. Rantanen is on pace for 130 points. Mackinnon and Ovechkin are ahead of Eichel in the Hart debate too.
Definitely gonna be a star but isn't even in the top 5 players to come out of the last two drafts

Danny Janicas compare their stay lines, take into account that werenski is a defenseman. If you don't want to look at stats alone, marner is miles ahead of jack in almost every skill category, eichel may have a slightly better shot but it's so close that it's negligible, jack is also bigger and stronger, but marners size doesn't stop him from dominating, unlike eichel who's been an average second liner so far
