I believe the reason why Battle Royale is getting less awesome content is due to the Epic Games teams being "spread too thin" just like how Marvel has struggled with their content over the last few years. Back then Battle Royale was the main focus & the holy grail of Fortnite, but nowadays they're spreading out all these modes while simultaneously spreading themselves too thin.🤔

I won’t quit Fortnite but sometimes it’s better to step away for a little while and play something else. Sometimes you can feel burnt out from the game, but that’s okay, there’s other games to play outside of Fortnite

I think what this comes down to is just a lack of resources. Conceptually, there’s nothing wrong with Epic putting focus on these other big modes. The problem is that, because of the layoffs or whatever other reason, they have to shift around vital resources in order to do so. They just don’t have what is required to successfully maintain 4 games and community made content, so what we end up with is four very watered down modes, which hurts when the players of one of these modes are used to very impressive, high effort, and engaging content. I like the idea of this platform/metaverse in theory, but I don’t think Epic was really ready to give it to us yet.
That's what I've been thinking about. I cant fully blame them myself because of those layoffs and losing millions in that lawsuit.
Yeah they should of delayed the Metaverse by a year so the new modes can feel more complete and just better

@sidsmith4410 I'm not going to argue against that. I do agree that these latest games feel rushed too, personally i do think that the lawsuits could have had some sort of impact.
@@sidsmith4410 Keep in mind none of the people that got fired were from their vital infostructure. It was mostly people from the marketing teams or teams that contacted content creators. Also they fought to keep Donald Mustard he just wanted to move on to different projects.
I spent too much time and money on Fortnite to just quit. Not until the game shuts down first. The magic may not be the same as Ch3 and before, but Epic still cooks.

I don’t think I would ever quit Fortnite but I would definitely take breaks from it, when Helldivers came out, I was barely playing Fortnite because of the excitement of Helldivers, and this season is the least I’ve played Fortnite in my 1 1/2 of playing Fortnite
the least ive played in a season was in c2 s8 and prob bc i was so sucked into apex, i only played 2 hours
pretty much the exact same reason for me, when I started playing fortnite I had an absolute blast and ended up turning into one of my most favorite games I’ve ever played and would play the living hell out of it every single day, but because of what they are trying to turn the game into now I’ve completely lost all motivation to play and this chapter has been my least played chapter out of any chapter I’ve played so far because of what they are doing.
I’m never leaving the game no matter what. I will stay true to that.

I think the Racing argument is fair, and I think the focus should be BR, but I also think the team at Harmonix needs to keep working on Festival.

I have already considered to quit Fortnite, ever since they anounced that there will be no more Storyline nor Live Events, for me that's the core of Fortnite, been playing since Chapter 2 which was when the Storyline HIT, FORTNITE LORE, Until they killed it in Chapter 4

The story and live events didn't start until mid way through chapter 1, so it's not the core. Most players don't care about the story, mainly just the live events anyways. Battle royale and the game itself was always the focus

Fortnite will always have a special place in my heart after all the memories I made in chapters 1 and 2, but I find myself playing it less and less because I am seeing it transform into something completely different to what I fell in love with it for, and that’s okay, I’m enjoying other games, I just wish the old versions of the game weren’t gone forever.
I been taking a week off and then getting back on and playing for about 3 hours and then not playing again for a week i don't find anymore fun in this season anymore the start was great but i like having mid season map changes and fun weapons/items in the game that's why i liked ch2 so much you had so much fun items and guns in the game. But i do still have hope for season 3!

I feel that’s true. Recently I’ve been slowly moving away from Fortnite as a whole. But I think it’s just temporary but idk I’ve been enjoying other games I’m just not having the fun that feeling anymore I just think this state in Fortnite is really bad plus events are pretty much just money grabs at this point it used to be so great but I just don’t feel This anymore it’s getting easier and easier to predicted what Fortnite’s gonna do next it’s just not like it use to be.
It comes down to playtime really because most people cant spend more than 30 mins in Lego, Rocket Racing or Festival mode without getting bored and going back to BR or Creative. FN needs to really spruce up the summer update for BR or people are gonna flock to other games over the summer. I have found myself playing old single player games like Far Cry 3 and having a blast instead of playing FN at the moment. Hopefully they put BR at the top of their priority this time
BR should always be priority for the m but they arent looking at whats getting the most attention

Fortnite really took it's hit when they stopped doing LTMs, stopped the storyline, and stopped the live events.

I feel like this season was good until midas left the map. Having him stick around until the end of the season couldve helped with the story epic is trynna do this season. Also the majority of the playerbase play the game for battle royale and its sad epic doesnt prioritise their most successful gamemods
Ngl i think Ive gotten around 50 levels from br and the rest from messing around with my friends in prophunt and murder mystery cuz br feels dry at the moment and i feel like they’re getting lazy letting their community make maps for ppl to play instead of making good updates
Your last 2 videos are spot on!!! I came for the Battle Royal Mode, but stayed because of the story!!! I started playing with the start of no build mode and every season since it feels like they are constantly changing something that is taking away from what Fortnite Battle Royal was then or the years before that mode! Hell, I actually quit playing Call of Duty to focus on learning how to play this game, its characters, and the fortnite universe. And, with all these other modes they have added, the removal of certain ways to get XP, the change in the UI / locker, and the various ways they will pad a battle pass or force you to play these other modes in order to increase your time playing (to get XP) it is just getting more and more frustrating. And I, just like you don't see myself spending the same amount of time or money on this game the way I have in the past!
Of course the star wars event wasn't as impactful as last years, last years was the big seasonal collab for c4s2, c5s2's was avatar, of course epic isn't gonna pile 2 major game altering events onto br one after another, but lego on the other hand, hadn't had a huge update in a while, so they could go all out, you forget what happened at the start of the year where everyone was burnt out because of how much was being added at once, but epic has, so they are spacing out updates between the 3 modes, every month theres a major focus on one of the 4, either a br or festival season, or a racing or lego update, br isn't falling to the wayside or overshadowed for the new modes, they simply take turns having the biggest focus in an update. This is why we put an ounce of thought into things instead of taking everything at face value.
Plus Epic only put that much effort into LEGO during the Star Wars update because it’s the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars

Well that's not true because last year we had 3 game altering collabs in one season, attack on titan, star wars, spider man. The other half of your point also contradicts itself. If Epic is wanting to put more effort into one of the other modes to let it shine for a big update then by definition BR is falling by the wayside or at the very least taking a backseat for 3/4 of a season. Once again that's because they probably don't have the resources to go all out across all modes. The point is the majority of players are going to the BR and want to enjoy the depth of Star Wars in BR. Adding a couple more lightsabers would not have hurt this collab/update. Having only 1 on the entire map seems like a huge downgrade from them randomly appearing across the BR island. I'm also not saying that lego shouldn't get this awesome update it's just unfortunate that the main mode that the majority of the player base plays isn't being given the same attention as last year for this collab. Not the end of the world just another example of the change in direction.
@@Klarque_Clint i know people who hate having so many collab items at once, and just prefer the solid gunplay, plus lets be honest the bowcaster is goated, and why cant we get less than last year? why does fortnite need to one up itself all the time? can we just settle for good instead of great? no matter how you word it, this community is being spoiled time and time again, and getting more greedy and impatient because of it, while other communities get one very small update yearly or sometimes absolutely nothing all year and don't complain a fraction of as much as we do. not trying to attack you or say you should love everything about the game unconditionally, it's just that this video is a symptom of a larger issue of people constantly wanting epic to be on their A-game for every aspect even while on break, and not considering they need balance the wants of a community of tens of millions of people, who all want the game tailored to themselves
@@jibaZoomi I think you ignored the entire message of the video. It's not an issue of being spoiled or unappreciative. It's an observation in the change of direction. I also didn't expect more than last year but definitely expected more than what we got as far as BR was concerned. But as I said in the video I'm also happy that lego and the other modes got a lot of love. It's just not what I or the vast majority of the player base play. I think the issue you're having is you're looking at the comments on my videos from other people and are projecting their feelings onto me. I think this was an amazing season it's just that for Star Wars I wanted more, but more importantly I'm noticing my self and a lot of other older players playing less. Doesn't mean that everyone will but I'm hoping BR gets more love next season since that's what the majority of us play and come to Fortnite for. I don't think that's unreasonable. Honestly, BR has been in steady decline for YEARS. Since Chapter 1 ended:
- A.I. Bots
- Skill Based punishes good players
- Too many collabs
- Predictable seasons with vaults & bosses
- No story anymore
- No live events
- Cluttered mess of a U.I. and locker
- No LTM's
- Trash seasonal "events". (No Christmas cabin, either)
The only people happy with Fortnite now are non-C1 players, people who barely play, or 7 year old TikTok addicts.

I disagree for some of these like skill based match making, sbmm is important so bad players can actually play the game so they don't get full boxed 200ed by the sweats and ais are good for bad players but I do feel that there are too many ais

I can make sense of Epic trying to push these other gamemodes, but what I can't grasp is why they wanted to expand fortnite as a platform, but their dev team never grew larger (and it even shrunk).
I’m really missing augments but even more than that I’m missing weekly map updates. Trying to figure out the next stage of the gnome v teddy wars was really fun. Things feel like they’re all in your face. Nothing small for those who look.

In my case, since festival came out. I played it even more than battle royale and I'm playing battle royale since chapter 1 Season 2. But I'm a sucker for rhythm games and I spent a lot of v-bucks (those are from save the world) to get the songs. I simply love that mode, right now I bought 77 songs and counting, so for me the game is even more fun than before but I understand how players that play only BR would feel right now I hope epic keeps their main focus on BR
Chapter 5 Season 2 may be the first season where I will not get all superstyles. Im so burnt out from grinding the Battlepass, and I kind of dislike having to play multiple modes for hours for not very great xp. I found out that Lego Fortnite can give good xp when you’re afk, so I’ve tried it. It works, but I have to move my character every 15 minutes which is slightly annoying.
I still play fortnite even after 5 years and I haven't given up on it even tho all my matches are with sweaty people and I can't even build properly and I lose 95% of the time 😭
I basically quit this season from the start. The first time I've quit since grinding fortnite since ch4s1 (Yes, i grinded s3. it was so good). I think it's because of the mythics. There is just too much to choose from. Too much weapons makes it hard to decide and i had to basically spend so much time choosing which weapons to pick. Should i use an smg or the chain. Shotgun or bolt. I think it was a good idea to replace the mythics with avatar and i was grinding when that happened, and stopped when they got removed.
I wish avatar (water bending) gotten removed, it's OP still around and ruining the lobbies. Every final circle has some sweat or multiple sweats if you play duo/trio/squads all with waterbending. Good luck getting lasered. I'm gonna wait for next season kinda done with this one.
Yeah honestly I got no faith in the summer event/update next season…the past two lackluster ones proved to be bad, so nothing gives me hope in general about next season.
Part of the reason I don't play as much is the weapons there cool and all but there's no better feeling then dropping in and getting a gold scar I feel fortnite should bring back some of the old guns like the tac the pump the assault rifles smgs and everything but like I said the new weapons are pretty cool I'd just like to see more of what fortnite used to be

i love Star Wars updates and Star Wars especially. my birthday is around may the 4th and i agree that this update was a lightsaber lackluster.
Ngl sometimes I play Fortnite festival but still, it feels like br and Fortnite festival are getting the least attention, and there’s actual proof, for Star Wars here is how long each game is getting:
Lego: 80 days
Rocket racing: 2 weeks and 3 days
Festival and br: 1 week and 3 days with barley/no new additions
Man in the beginning of chapter 4 I had twelve friends that I’d play with that got on the game every single day. By the end of chapter 5 season 1, there was only one left besides me and now he only plays twice a week 😢 😢
I started playing during C2S1, and gotta admit I enioyed C3 the most. The gameplay, the lootpool, the map, the art direction, the overall feeling of the game. C2S2 and C3S3 captured that magic for me, mostly because the game felt thought out and cared for.

This chapter for both seasons for the first time in history ive not gotten passed rank 105 due to me not playing and this season is worse at me with rank 35 during the end of the season
I just wish the season was longer or XP was more available. Last season I hit 200 with time to spare.
This season while playing mostly the same amount I was cutting my teeth on the end date to get super styles.

ive hated evrything in chapter 5 and havent really been playing for the entire season so if the new season isn't good i might not play fortnite again until chapter 2 comes back
I started really playing in Chapter 2 Season 1 for the Star Wars stuff and stayed for Season 2, where I really started playing religiously up until Chapter 3 Season 3, where I just have not enjoyed Fortnite the same way since. I haven't even gotten to level 100 the last few seasons, and the only reason I've played this season is the Star Wars stuff, but even that has had a hard time retaining my attention. I think it's really gone downhill since they had to rush the Chapter 3 finale and continue to push out chapters every year. Season OG was the ONE exception where I played almost every day for the entire season, even while on vacation I brought a Nintendo Switch to play the event. I think the main issue now is that Fortnite largely relies on people making Creative Mode maps, which simply don't have the same quality and enjoyability as official Epic stuff.
I essentially already have. Season 3 NEEDS to be good or I won't return until OG, and then leave...just like the people I was making fun of a few months ago
Yo I think they did less work for Star Wars in BR cuz I play Lego Fortnite and I can tell you they put a lot of energy into that. They gave us a whole island, and like new guys to fight, 2 bosses, caves where you can fight the new guys in their bases, and also new builds. It even felt like there was a storyline to it!
The thing about Fortnite is they always find a way to bring the players back somehow OG for example or chapter 2 season 7 was a big one for me horrible season before in my opinion and season 5 was dry but blaring people with ufos and all the fun guns was amazing. I have hope they will have something fun in the future even if next season is a flop or not. I’ve been playing since chapter 1 season 4 and I’ve left for a couple weeks but I always come back, this game has been through a lot and things are changing but the player base will still be there.
I don’t think I will quit but I would point out the differences the 3rd season would have compared to other summer seasons to see if it at least improved. Maybe it could get better (which I hope.) I couldn’t really play last summer season cause I was with my dad for a while.

You have a point there, I think that Fortnite is getting tiresome for me and planning on quitting not permanently but once I'm done with the quest for the battle pass I might consider, My complaints is that the mythics are over powered
I deleted fortnite right before the Avatar Collab started, and i haven't had any interest in redownloading it. I had moments like this where I'm legitimately thinking of quitting the game, but I always end up redownloading it because of a hyped new season or mini battle pass event, but after nearly 6 years of playing, I think I'm actually done with the game this time. If that leaked roadmap is legit, then there's absolutely nothing of interest to me coming up in fortnite this year.
Creative players:
Yes I know creative isn’t the best option (or even a option) but at least change the hub because just like how people are ranting about br being dry but creatives hub alone is just nothing but a few tree put around. At least bring back weekly hubs just like the old days (I sound old saying that). I really liked the idea that you could put your own creation and let players experience them and especially the interactive ones.

Those hubs would make my game lag. And overall just slow me down from going onto my island to work on stuff. Every time I have to island hop & go back and forth to different isles it would have to load & unload every little thing in the hub before my game could give me control to actually move around again. And I dont even play on a switch. Thats how bad it got (depending on the hub). I miss the hubs too they were a cool idea but for the sake of performance, im glad theyre gone.
They got rid of creator hubs because of the exact issue I stated here.

Honestly I used to be the person that would get to level like 300 by the end of the season, and now I'm over here grinding just to get to level 100 because I didn't play all that much this season. (im level 50 right now) And it really doesn't help that I have school 😅

Prrsonally, i havent been more interested in a fortnite season ever. I love the post apocalyptic mad max vibe, and just hope they do a good job with it.
I started playing in Ch4 season 3. So far I enjoy Fortnite. My only complaint is the storyline. I don't understand the skins I own in the battle pass regarding the storyline and now they are just skins with no meaning. Hopefully the storyline will get better so I can enjoy using skins in my locker more.
If im gonna be really honest heres how i feel about the new modes
Festival: i play one song and don't want to play it again
Rocket Racing: i do a race or speed run i feel bored after a few races
Lego Fortnite: i play it do a few things and then stop playing because I feel tired of doing things
Story and stuff like that will never be great again, they will keep spaming collabs, the shops will stay bad, etc., but what really pisses me off with this season is that they cut down BR’s XP. I never had a problem finishing a bp, but last week I realized that I was only lvl 80 with the season ending in two weeks, although I played actively and you need 151 for the last Hades style and all Vbucks. I‘ll probably make it to 150 but only because I spent the last days doing all the NON BR quests, grinding CREATIVE xp glitches and sitting in LEGO mode. I got 40 lvls in a few days of non BR, the half of what I got for nearly an entire season of more or less daily BR, this is INSANE.
I play this game because I like the BR, if Epic wants to add new game modes, fine. If they want to put more effort into them than in BR, fine. But if they force me to play NON-BR modes to get my BR Battle Pass done we have reached a point where I’m done with this game. (And no, I‘m not the only one with this problem. People made posts complaining about this with thousands of upvotes)
Well the problem is i agree is the execution and my other problem js how they executed the battle pass i expected hades to be the tier 1 THEN Zues to be 100 which j was okay with the battle pass cool god stuff but i felt like it was too much at the same time its like the minecraft thing alot of people have you never quit just take long breaks i usually would wait until the last 2 to 3 weeks of the season and play because its when people are chill and i can grind without waiting execessive amounts of time and get to do whatever i please lime studies or whatever more
Think about it, There is so much trailers and mini live events happening in lego fortnite, and festival. But why not br, or ranked, or zb???. Its always repetitive if you think about it. Every 2, 3 months theres a new chapter, it becomes a little fun, theres new collabs {mostly anime}, then the game gets boring. No interesting stuff with the main storyline, just always new updated and other things for lego and all the other game modes. Its like they dont care about br and they switched the storyline form br into lego. No wonder why donald mustard quit. I wouldve also if all they care about is other things instead of worrying about br and the main game
I've been playing Fortnite less but for me personally I got Mononucleosis not long ago so I just don't have the energy to play games like I used to so I've been playing all games less even Genshin and Star Rail and Tower of Fantasy.
I've been playing creative maps the most and I just havnt been enjoying battle royale as much as I did back in Chapters 2 ,3, and 4 and only do my daily quests on Team Rumble. The battlepass just seems to take longer to complete and it feels like creative maps aren't giving as much xp as they did in C5S1 and I honestly havnt used any of the battlepass skins since Mae came out so that's a deal breaker for me too. I need to enjoy at least 1 skin in the battlepass to motivate me to grind the season and I just havn't had that feeling in a very long time. I would of liked the huntress skin but the scarf thing down the back ruined it for me so I hate using the skin and Aphrodite looked way worse than her survey skin.
I really enjoy the movement that we have now with the sprinting, sliding, climbing, etc but I'm not a fan of hurdling and it seems to mess me up more than it helps, also the sights are still throwing me off like I go to pick up a Sniper but it turns out to be an AR with a Sniper scope or vise versa and ever since the sights were released I just feel like the matches are way sweatier than they used to be. I kinda miss how Fortnite was before the sights were added but at the same time I love using the sights too it just depends on the gun like I can't stand sights on the shotguns in close range fights. I don't see me quitting Fortnite anytime soon and I have my selection of skins I love to use like Winter Wonder Skye or Princess Lexa so even if I don't enjoy any of the battlepass skins I still get value out of the battlepass between the 500 extra v bucks and emotes and other items.
I've not played fortnite for 1 month i got tier 100 and dipped to storygames the resident evil ones (I've heard 7 is good) I'm just at a safe distance whilst carnage is happening on fortnites end.
The reason i came back was for season OG and since then i realy like the next seasons from chapter 5

I personally believe that seasons aren’t boring it’s the people you play with because I loved chapter 3 season 3 and that’s mostly because I met one of my best online friends in Ch3 S3 and I also enjoyed the map changes throughout the season I mean yeah it was boring sometimes but then my friend kinda swooped in and solved the boredom
It does really hit different when you played fortnite for a long time i played fortnite since season 3 and right now honestly its just really boring i moved on to other games because i wanted to find a game where i had the same joy for fortnite back in the day. I've been playing a game called the Finals definitely recommend for people that like overwatch type shooter games.

Yea man I definitely feel that i was very fortunate to play day 1 of the game pre beta and stopped playing in late December I just kinda got bored with it and the direction it was going towards tbh

I don’t plan on quitting Fortnite, but yeah, I don’t play LEGO that often. I only play it with my brother-in-law who’s practically a brother to me, we played it A LOT during the Star Wars update. I got some of the stuff from the LEGO Pass, which gave me Chewie INSTANTLY, and it’s NOW A LOT of FUN with the Star Wars stuff. The Star Wars lightsabers and blasters will ALSO be PERMANENT in the LEGO mode.
I definitely won't quit but, thanks for sharing your concerns. The game could always be better but, I just play casually.
I know this came out before the new season but I'm having the most fun I've had since chapter 3 season 1 in this new season. The cars are chaotic and I luv it 🤣

The mini battle pass was Avatar this season. They are now going to put a Lego pass out quarterly, Festival pass every 2-3 months, and BR Battle pass every 2-3 months. I do think the Star Wars free rewards were a joke but Star Wars was Lego Pass but we still got 4 new skins in BR so it was an average size collab, just not a whole BR Mini Pass like last time with 4 Mythics.
I think for myself it will take Epic Games doing something completely out of pocket to make me fully leave fortnite, however I do play the game less frequently than I use to. I enjoy all the new modes for the most part, and like that I can still play fortnite without always having to do the exact same thing every time. For me, the problem is that I would rather have one experience with really big updates, over multiple experiences with lack luster updates. The Lego Starwars update is still dope as heck though.
I played ch2, ch3 and chapter 4 pretty consistently but sadly ch5 just didn’t hit for me. Didn’t like much of the changes and neither did a lot of my friends. Lost all motivation to play competitively and even casually. Tried hopping on the new season but nah, just doesn’t feel right. If Fortnite continues down the path it’s on, I don’t see my self and quite a lot of people continuing to play this game.

i feel like the lego mode got so much more content during the star wars event because of the already well established lego star wars brand of games and toys.
I swear this man speaks the truth and facts for all of us about by the Royale. Don’t give me wrong all the other cool modes that we’ve gotten our great but my main focus is Battle Royale because that’s what we’ve all been playing for years in Fortnite because battle Royale is Fortnite that’s what makes the game, so I say again this man speaks the facts for all of us. I’m still gonna be playing it because I love this game and I love the community behind it. Sometimes it’s a little lack lust with the content but I still love it I can’t wait to see more Collabs they bring to the game and more content but I really hope that epic watches this video and hears us so so that we can start getting more main content for battle Royale, and not for the other modes that battle Royale players don’t really play, including myself
This season I really didn’t play at all usually I finish the battle past by now and still on 25 I crazy that used to play game for hours now not even 30 minutes
