So after 4 years as Geralt, Henry Cavill has exited the role. Quite frankly he was the only good thing about the show given how terrible the show ended up becoming post s1. I wish all the best to Liam Hemsworth but personally I will not be watching the rest of the show. I'm a massive Witcher fan and at points it was actually painful to watch. That being said I had a blast making this video. Genuinly a very fun experience for me editing wise splitting it into seasonal chapters. I hope you guys will enjoy.

One of the most wasted castings in history. If only he had good writers by his side to give us the Witcher adaptation we deserved. As someone from Poland, watching this bastardization of our little national treasure was heartbreaking, but at least we saw a perfectly cast White Wolf in the thick of it. Thank you Henry! As a polish guy I wanna say thank you Henry you are the only person who really love and understand Witcher world and lore. This what Netflix do with fantasy novel from my country is NOT adaptation but profanation. Greetings from Poland.
So sad when he believed in this and what it stood for. Why did those writers want to change it! Glad he stood by his principles for what the story represented. We lost a treasure to the character he developed and made it come alive , one we all fell in love with. It’s just so sad. Season three ends it for me. 💔
It's sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful actor as Henry and how he played the role of Geralt amazing Henry even managed to play Geralt better than the role of Superman
As much as we will inevitably miss Henry, we truly must thank him.
He gave us 3 wonderful seasons with this character on screen. He was committed to it and was excited about it. It was obvious he loved the role just not what was being done with it. The work he put into developing and playing the character is so obvious and he will be missed.

Did you know that Henry Cavill for all 3 seasons did all the fighting stunts and everything else himself 100 percent, he did it even from understudies so that everything would look natural on the screen that it was Henry Cavill there were very few such actors as Henry he refers to he especially tried hard on his roles with his soul over the Witcher series, whoever plays further in shit in season 4, Henry will remain one of the best Geralts for all ages, but I still hope that the Witcher will be restarted in another studio and they will again call Henry Cavill for the role of Geralt, since fans adore him in this role from ordinary fans to fans of video games and books.
Your words ring true. He put his heart small soul into the role. And your right he did all the fight scene, designed his costumes, even he contribution to the “ true” books. The writers don’t know what they have done. There will only be one Geralt . This was his creation. Nothing against Llam but it’s just not the same. 💔😢

So much anger and sadness flows through my veins knowing what an incredible show this could of been if not for the writers not liking and using sapkowskis source material. It blows my mind how they royally screwed this up. Its important not to promote or endorse those producers or writers for future projects. Second chances for screw ups like this should not be warranted. Examples need to be made of.
They shouldnt be given any responsibility over a project let alone an IP like witcher. It just shows how completely out of touch the writers are. And whats truly sad is Cavil and Sapkowski made this so easy for them to succeed but they threw it all away.

Yes, many thanks to Henry Cavill for the canonical Geralt of Rivia, if someone doesn’t know it, the actor Henry is very similar in appearance to the book Geralt thanks to him for all 3 seasons the actor fought for this role as best he could and for the series to be at least somehow similar to canon of books

Idiots showrunners had never knew what they got when Henry became a Witсher in the series, and even now they don't know what they lost after Henry left the show. In general, they didn't undestand what was it (the Witcher) at all. But Henry knew, HENRY OF RIVIA. Thank you from Russia, from 43 old fan, who still keeps role-player dresses and swords and whants the story to be told as it is. Thank you Henry for being honest with yourself and with all of us

I love this show. It’s one of my favorites. It’s just so sad that he left the show and is being replaced by someone else. I wish they would just stop the show altogether or convinced him to stay. But unfortunately they didn’t stay true to the story line which caused Henry to leave in the first place.

The only cast member who reflected the book, all the rest were crap...
I admit I was sceptical. The opening scene of season 1 was crap. But my god did he prove me wrong. The sword scene in Blaviken, thats seriously some of the best fight choreography ive ever seen. Unfortunately the writers of the show were female, so the rest gave way to sentimentality and largely ignored the source material.
Can someone please explain me why everyone is worshipping Cavill so much? People even says unironically that "witcher is not witcher without him". But how so? He doesn't look like Geralt, he doesn't act like Geralt... He doesn't even try to portray the book Geralt, he just stupidly copies the dude who voiced this character in games. This show is supposed to be based on books, not games! And Cavill is a gamer. You know, this kind of gamer who start the game because it's hyped, not because he's genuinely interested in the plot or world of this game. I'm not even sure he read the books or played the first two games before he was casted (this I don't know for sure, correct me if I'm wrong). And if he was so much of a fan he wouldn't sign for this horrible excuse of a show in the first place.
Overall he's definitely not the best cast. Like, at all. Yeah, he may be ok compared to others, but "ok" doesn't mean "good". Yet everyone praising him. For what exactly? It's so confusing.
How can he portray the geralt from the lore if the showrunners messed up the script deviating the show from the lore. Henry tried his best to bring elements from the lore to the show but since the showrunners went against the lore his only option was to quit. And as for copying the man who voiced geralt in the games, there is nothing wrong in doing that coz the books dont give u an impression of a character but the games brought that which was loved by fans so Henry brought that to live action which is totally fine. And Cavill signed up for the show because he was promised that the show would be faithful to the lore but with season 2 it was evident that was not the case but its with s3 they truly proved they dont care about the lore which was the final call sign for Henry to quit.
