  • We start 1st cut with harvesting our sown field of Ryegrass.
    We decided to fill up our summer silo as well because we didn't make quite enough silage last year.
    Thanks for watching!

    Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia. We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equipment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M. We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn. We also have 7 hectares of forest.

    Wow!! "That is some beautiful tall thick rye grass"!!💫 Time has come long hours to get the grass in before it rains! Nice to have backup when the cows escape! One time living in Utah I had front flower beds all fixed and planted. Didn't know there was a big cattle drive happening within a few minutes the cows hooves completely destroyed the lawn and flower beds!! Had to replant and seed it all! I am loving these longer videos! Nice job on the video😁

    • @farmerspov4709
      @farmerspov4709  Před rokem +1

      Inside the cups is a rubber that gently squeezes the teats so that milk is secreted, imitating the sucking of a calf. The cows don't mind it, its pleasant for them.
