1:50 wrong incident to make your point. Jos had no blame there, he got pushed onto the grass by Eddie Irvine who actually got a two race ban for the incident.
Some points: The fire was not the fault of the fuelman. It was caused because Benetton had cheated and removed safety measures from the fuel installation that were in place to prevent a fire like this. The pressure in the hose was way to high, the fuelman never stood a chance.
Jos was by no means a bad driver, had he gotten the material, he would have made a decent midfield driver. But first Benetton screwed him over and after that he only had seats in backmarkers. It would also have been fair to mention that the two races after this incident, Jos made the podium. Making him the most succesful Dutch F1 driver until Max entered the picture.
And to think that Hamilton could've gotten 8 championships, Leclerc, his first and Alonso a third one just because of a pit crew mistake is scary as fuck.
His dad could leave him on a gas station💀

Couldn't agree more. I know 1994 is a long time ago in safety terms, but here we have a driver and pit crew in FULL fireproof overalls get petrol spilled on them with fire extinguishers practically within arm's reach. And even if we remove fire extinguishers from the equation it's not as though Jos was trapped inside the car like poor Elio de Angelis or Roger Williamson were. What a crock of shit...
