i think it's actually better than a few decades ago, because the popularity of MMA - and the mindset that followed along - started putting things to the test. it spawned the entire "bullshido" movement, and generally a strong backlash against fantasy martial arts. you can see this even in popular culture - fight scenes in movies have gotten more realistic ON AVERAGE. the choreography includes more throws, joint locks, grappling etc. than back in the 80s when "krotty" was all the rage. and if they go for the good ol' kung-fu magic moves, the narrative often has an excuse for this, like in Matrix, where unrealistic fights take place in virtual reality, where normal laws of physics don't apply (as explicitly explained by Morpheus in first training scenes).

Why is peter's voice so weird?
The video modified to avoid copyright or something??
that's part of the episode
earlier in the episode he had his testicles driven up into his body, hence his high-pitched voice. later in the episode they return to normal

These days, anything can be martial arts. It’s ridiculous and convenient.
That's weird. I've been doing dishes for several years and haven't developed any kind of special moves yet. Believe me, I tried.
