    Lovin the intro's Dan, very Bonanza. The wild wild west.🤣
    Thoroughly enjoyable, very well edited.
    Thanks.

      Cheers Dave! I was a choice between that one and a more genteel, sombre piece - very glad I went for "Bonanza!" 😂🤠

    Well said Dan about that path after Inversnaid. It’s wonderful and adds to the variety I think. I was a couple of days behind you having started on 27th March and yes the weather was amazing. Great videos.

      Thanks Robert, yeah, it's a brilliant path and almost certainly my favourite section of the first half of the walk. I've just watched your February video of the hike - you had some water to contend with there! Amazing that you've done the Way so many times, massive hats off to you. I'm catching you up though - only need to do it another 59 times!! 😂
      All the very best, Dan 👍🏻

    Yeah, I don't particularly get people complaining about the state of paths on public trails most of the time. I part-watched some numpty whine about a section of the Pennine way being a bit steep and narrow (my words, his were more "unusable") and he actually said "the council could drive a new path through here [points at beautiful, unspoilt hillside] and make a few switch backs", conveniently ignoring that a) that's nice and cheap isn't it, because you're not getting an excavator up there so it'd need doing by hand and b) IT'S A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY ON PRIVATE LAND.
    Obviously his written bit for the video said "no complainers or know-it-alls", so you know he's an absolute tool anyway. But I mean, the nerve.
    Really enjoying these vids.

    • @northernmonkeydan1940
      @northernmonkeydan1940  Před 2 lety +1

      Hey there Andy. The vast majority of people out on trails and in the hills are brilliant, and they undoubtedly love the outdoors in much the same way that I do. That said, I've found there are indeed an increasing number of "tools" out there also. These are the people who are leaving their rubbish (and worse things) where they drop it, letting their dogs chase sheep (witnessed this THREE times last year) and generally behaving atrociously. It's a genuine worry.
      Besides that though, really glad you've been enjoying the vids! Cheers Andy!
      All the best, Dan 👍🏻

    Another great vid Dan, I found the same, that people were moaning about that section, saying its dangerous, the whole section along the Loch is ace! to this day I still believe I heard someone saying hello to me 3 times in the wooded area walking up to the Doune Byre Bothy, but nobody was there, freaked me out a bit, when you've posted the series, I'm going to mark your camp spots on the map ready for September 👍
