- Here we have a new 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71. This Silverado 1500 comes in black on jet black perforated leather interior. The powertrain consists of a 5.3 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Standard features of this Silverado 1500 LTZ include Bluetooth audio, a backup camera, and WIRELESS Apple CarPlay/Android Auto compatibility. Additional features include a navigation system, power sunroof, heated/cooled seats, and a heated steering wheel.

Honestly the LTZ trim seems like an excellent option even though it's not a High Country or a GMC Denali. You still get heated/cooled seats, heated rear seats & steering wheel, memory seat, power front seats, sunroof, power tilt wheel, adaptive cruise, nav, wireless CarPlay, etc. And the 5.3 V8 as you've said is, for a lot of people, more than enough. I also love the black & chrome look of this one. Nice review as always!

I agree, but you gotta get it with the technology package. Plus the up/down tailgate. With the High Country the only additional feature is adaptive ride and maybe supper cruise if it's available. So the LTZ can be as good as a High Country..
Get an LT amd you get pretty much all of that, other than sunroof and power tilt.

@@zbrown191 I suppose it just depends though. For some folks yeah, 50 an hour will simply not cut it. But for others, I think you could pull it off.
Wait a couple years and that price gone drop, they don’t change often so about 3-6 years it’s going down on the price

I just recently purchased mine over the weekend. I traded my Ram in with the leaky roof. Boy what a difference, first time owning a Chevrolet truck. And I’m very impressed on how well it rides and also the great gas mileage. It being a diesel drinks nothing at all. It cost a pretty penny but well worth it, for those who can afford the cost to be the boss.
I just bought mine memorial day Ford In my eyes is no longer number one this truck is definitely number one the LTZ is worth every penny mine is the dark ash metallic it looks so nice when cleaned up it's the best truck out there no rattles and super smooth and quiet ride
When I get my future job a as a Chief of Police, Police Captain, Sheriff Office Captain, or Highway Patrol Captain or any job in Law Enforcement I would use this truck to respond to emergency calls because it's a nice truck.
You will have to start at the bottom, but nice aspirations.
The black and chrome is very classy and turns heads. But mercy it's hot in the Summer, especially black leather. Need a black one for Winter and a white one for Summer ha ha. Great review!

My 2010 silverado has a grey interior. I wish I could still get in the new ones. It gets really hot in the South.

I bought a 2022 LTZ in December. Not sure if it’s an extra, but I have the HUD on my truck. It has the same features as my 2019 High Country but adds adaptive cruise control and the multifunction tailgate. I got it with the 5.3L V8. The 19 had the 6.2L which was very nice and powerful but it requires premium fuel. It’s also fast at more cost. The downside to the mf tailgate is the it doesn’t have the power up capability thought it will lower by the press of the button on the tailgate, key fob, or the cabin button. Overall, it’s a better setup versus the HC I had and at a better price versus the current HC. I added the Pedal Commander which I have to say, gives the truck better acceleration, close to the acceleration of the 6.2L. Overall it’s a very nice truck as it’s my seventh Silverado over 21 years. I believe this one is a keeper. I’m still perplexed as to why the truck your showing doesn’t have the HUD. On a side note, you will notice there are NO 12V outlets whatsoever. JD from BTBRV pointed this out. Both of us are unsure why GM did away with them. The ‘21 I had, had 12V outlets plus the other outlets you mentioned in the video. Great truck and great value!

It is not low mode shifting. It is gear limiter.
Question .. with the push button start/stop... What "safety" is there built in if someone stops and press the start button to shut truck off, and they never shift into Park? With the key ignition, you could not pull key out unless it was in park, to act as a reminder to put it in park. But with no key, what is there to remind people to put it in park before exiting?

In my Ram 1500, if you turn the engine off while in drive, it automatically shifts you into park. I’ve done this a couple of times accidentally 😂. I’m pretty sure the Silverado does the same thing.
A 2020 Toyota rav4 will begin yelling at you.
The truck will shift into park if you forget to press the park button when you turn off the engine.. Also, when the truck is in drive the tailgate will not release. One more free safety feature, if you are driving above 20 MPH, the folding mirrors will not fold, just in case you hit the button on accident. 🙂

I own one as well and I'd have to disagree. But there are lemons out there. As far as mine goes I'm completely satisfied, but it is intriguing as to what u think might not be built well on the truck.
