Windows 11 ISO Download: www.microsoft.com/software-do...
In this video we go over how to downgrade Windows 11 from Professional to Home Edition. This can be useful if you installed Pro but do not have a product key to activate it. You can switch to home edition and use your product key to activate that version without losing any of your files, settings, or other data. It works just like an upgrade but you aren't upgrading your downgrading.
For Windows 11 Home Single Language:
Change EditionID to Home SL
Change Product Name to Windows 10 Home SL

0:13 Preparation
3:39 Edit Registry
5:00 Run Setup
6:45 Verify Downgrade
7:23 Wrap Up

Really life saved hack! Thank you so much 💎💎💎
Thanks. It really helped
I had to do this because I bought the wrong key 😭 I bought home instead of pro for my windows so I had to switch 😭
Sam vro
Literally did this last week smh and just now felt like fixing it
@@austinwatkins7817same thing I did except I downloaded enterprise and then bought a home key and had to upgrade and it has been a pain
I purchased the pro key by accident myself. Really only needed home.
Same man
Fantastic guide, straightforward and useful. Worked perfectly on my wife's laptop; activated without issues too as she was using a digital license :)
Can't believe Microsoft doesn't make it simpler or more intuitive for the average consumer - even their help page doesn't suggest the right things, and it was triggering Windows 11 Pro instead via the Creation Tool!
Video is a lifesaver man many thanks🙏🏾
You're very welcome. Glad to help!
@@TEK411Techhow do I activated windows?
I bought a notebook HP with windows 11 Pro installed, but an error said that windows 11 pro wasn't active because the PC has a windows 11 home key. So I followed this video to downgrade from Pro to Home and it WORKS WORKS WOOOOOOOORKS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!
Just wanted to re comment. This worked. Thank you so much! I thought it was over 😂. I appreciate this once again!

Very helpful thank you worked
Thank you very much. I was trying to find a solution and I found your video. It worked and if anyone is also experiencing the same thing, you can follow the step by step instruction in the video.
You're welcome!
This worked perfectly, tysm!
I have one thing, does it work on your actual windows 11 pro computer?
@@fanboy4454 no idea i bought a windows 11 home, you could certainly try.
@@jpppewhat do you mean, this video is about going from pro to home… so why would you need this video if you don’t have pro on your windows ?
@@wagdshidid6983 cuz I bought home and tried to use pro but the key I used was invalid so I had to switch back to home or my computer would say i need to activate windows with an annoying watermark and restricting features.
Thanks you sooo much bro!
❤❤❤ My problem is "I found a generic Windows 11 Pro product jey from Telegram but i didn't know it wouldn't active the windows account and i won't get many features, but unfortunately I used the key and suffered, saw so many vidoes how to get the original product key and switch back to windows 11 Home. Finally saw your video did every step, before this remove the generic Pro product key using cmd commands, then followed this video and then activated the account " Again thank u bro ❤❤
bro how to remov3 the generic product key on cmd?
You're very welcome!
Thank for help and tutor bro is work 🎉🎉🎉
It worked, but I had to run update overnight, was kinda stuck at 73%, but the next day, it was finished
Very helpful❤
It works! Thanks
Thank you very much ❤
Thanks you bro.🎉
THIS VIDEO SAVED ME. THANK YOU 🫶
I have a digital license for Windows 11 Home and inactivated Windows 11 Pro is installed on my laptop. Will it work in that case?
I accidentally changed my product key from Windows Home to Windows Enterprise, and after spending hours of my day trying to figure it out, THIS video helped me revert it back to Windows Home. Thank you so much!
hey brother, can i ask. Did you backup your data before you downgrade it back to windows home?
@@addictfutbol I backed up my data. Anything that couldve gotten deleted wasn't needed.
I don’t comment ever. But you sir, are absolutely AMAZING thank you so so much
Wow, thank you!
a few questions, after doing the o.s swap, what happens to the pro version? is it automatically erased, overwritten or is it moved aside? do we need to delete it manually? if so, where to find it? also, can you do a video on converting w-10 pro to w-11 home? thanks. 👍
Great question. The pro version is overwritten with the home version. It's like an upgrade where it keeps all your files, apps, and settings.
Thanks a lot
I have a question, I updated my Windows 11 home to pro by command, but won't the key be lost by doing this procedure?
it only allows me to reinstall without keeping anything, can I change that ?
Thanks! My laptop has a windows key for home but it came with windows pro for some reason. This was very helpful
Same with pc
hey brother, can i ask. Did you backup your data before you downgrade it back to windows home?
@@addictfutbol No, I didn't have much and no important files on it so I didn't backup anything
@@iamtheboneofmysword728 so did you lost any single files after downdgrading?
Is it different if I want to downgrade it to Home Single Language?
Can this actually work on a dell optiplex desktop?
Does the edit registry for Home Edition same as Home Single Language?
Can we delete the file after the downgrade ?
Thanks
Hey! Thank you for the video. I’m just wondering, when I go to my settings it still says that it needs the key for windows 11. Is there any way to get rid of this notification or is it just something I have to deal with?
While the downgrade helps you get back to Windows 11 home, you will still need a valid key for Windows 11 home in order for the product to activate.
Hello there TEK411, do you happen to know how to do this for the new 23H2 on unsupported Hardware using the keep everything option?
when i try this method on 23H2 11 Pro the only option is to keep nothing.
Is windows installed on C:\Windows? Also, make sure your installing the same edition and language. Otherwise there is not option to keep your existing file/apps.
It Works thanks
I really liked the tutorial, I would like to know if when I return to the Home version the activation key is activated automatically, as my PC had the original factory key but when switching to pro it kept asking to activate Windows. Will it come back automatically by Downgrade?
Yes, it should automatically reactivate.
@@TEK411Tech It really worked, he recognized it, thank you very much.
Does this works for windows home single language?
THANKS!!!!
I wanna do this, because my friend upgraded my laptop to enterprise edition just to use remote desktop
Activation is done by a bat file in an article in GitHub
Then laptop started lagging, i reset my laptop expecting that it will ask for version selection
But my expectation is wrong
So finally watching this video, and the installation is in process
Thanks man worked great! Ended up trying my old windows 10 pro key but didn’t work so had to downgrade.
You're welcome!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
I saw that it was possible to switch from Windows Home to Windows Pro. I downloaded it and saw that there was no license :(
Can you you help... I was part of W10 (Pro) DEV channel when W11 was released in lots of versions. BUT my PC doesn't meet W11 spec's. I was only allowed it as part of the DEV channel. On October 10 2023 "Pro" support ended meaning i need to roll back to "Home" but i cant as my PC doesn't met W11 spec's. Do you have any ideas.... Ideally I want to stay with W11... Thanks.
I have another video on installing Windows 11 on an unsupported system. It might be best in your case though to do a fresh install.
Thank you so much, I repeat Thank you so much.
You are most welcome
hi, i can't go any further since it asked me to reset exp: 'choose what to keep'(second choices where any apps and setting will be deleted) think i still need to reset my pc to downgrade
Check that you're installing the same language and edition of windows. If they installed language or Edition do not match it, will not allow you to keep your files settings and apps.
Thanks Sir Tek411, I follow your video , but I wanted to downgrade to W11 Home Single Language because I used to had W10 Home Single Language , because I just write in the Register Editor W 11 Home and Core , so i could installed just the Home, but I lost the mouse and keyboard drivers , but sucessfully recognize other keyboard and mouse so I could finish the installation. what do you think about the difference between home and single language. I didn¨t find any video that teached me about it ?? what do you think . afortunately I didn"t lost my digital activation from Windows. Thanks your comments.
Your very welcome. This article does a good job explaining the difference between W10 Home and Home SL. W11 is the same as far as I know. answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/difference-between-home-edition-and-home-single/7e567265-dabd-4336-b229-091e9234e8a5
@@TEK411Tech thanks so much !!! I could solve my problem and I installed W Home SL.

Welcome 😊
it says my processor isn’t supported for this version of windows, but my PC was running windows 11 Pro and it also says the PC must support TPM 2.0 please need help 🙏
U need atleast i3 11th gen cpu I guess ....... what's ur pc specs?
Don't get the Mount option. In my pc type is WinRAR archive not disc image file. Can u help
it sounds like ISO files have been associated with WinRAR. You can extract the files to a directory on your PC and install them from there.
I upgraded from win 10 pro to win 11 pro but now there is a activate windows water mark does this fix it
Likely not. You will need to have a valid product key for Windows 11 pro or Windows 10 pro in order to activate. Microsoft recently disabled activation with the product key from older versions of Windows such as Windows 7 and Windows 8. So if you installed Windows 10 pro with a Windows 7 or Windows 8 product key, it will not be able to activate once you upgrade to Windows 11. Microsoft is starting to be difficult 😡
can you keep data?
very helpful
Glad it helped
It helped me a lot and I restored my windows to windows 11 home and not a single data got deleted. Appreciated your work brother
Glad it helped!
Did your activation key return automatically?
Mine stayed on pro?
Thanks man..
Happy to help
Bro will it delete my data?
Yes, it works.
need to rollback cz my win 11 key was MAK, not a retail one, the seller was lied to me 😢
Sorry to hear that but it sounds like you know what you're doing.
Yo thanks
Can I use flash drive instead of cd drive?
Yes, if you download the ISO you don't need either one. You can right click the ISO file and mount it as a DVD drive and install from there.
It says setup has failed to validate the product key
Pls help
Try the steps in this article to see if they will help. www.kapilarya.com/fix-windows-10-setup-has-failed-to-validate-the-product-key
Not understanding how to save as, the download. It doesn’t give me that option.
From the browser go to settings -> downloads there should be something like "always ask where to download"
@@zelaricsokay I will try this! Trying to save my laptop. Used a stupid Pro Key, thinking I was upgrading lol and messed everything up!
@@InwardBeautyMinistries yea, I just reverted. Alot of blue screens when I manually put some basic autoruns off, internet loses etc. With home seems better for now. Also my motherboard doesnt like fast ram ”supports upto 7200” yaaa right… so unstable. Had to drop to 6000 and need to test more to see if my games crash all the time. 7200mhz, 13900kf and 4080 on Asus Prime Z790-P doesnt work well at all together on that motherboard

Not Working Anymore🥲
My laptop stuck at mount it didn't mount the file
It's possible to file may have been corrupted during the download. I would try to download it again. Also maybe run a check disc to make sure your drive is in good working order.
Beo thank you
thanks
You're welcome!
Why should I edit my registry?
The only way to accomplish this is to edit the registry. Should be no problem, just make sure you take a full backup of the system first.
How many minutes does it take?
Depends on the speed of your machine.
Setup file don't opening
Your download may have been corrupted. Retry downloading to see if it works.
Why would you want to downgrade from pro to home
If you have a license/activation for home and don't want to pay for Pro.
I wanted to reset my pc to get rid of unwanted files and to start installing only what I want but when it opened again it had windows 11 pro
And I couldn't get it to change
16 core proccecor and only 7 gigs of ram?🤨
virtual machine 😎
it says the installation has failed
Did you ever figure it out mines saying the same
