Neenga sonna maari blood, shell ejection, bullet feed aaguradhu, even muzzle flashes and choreography needs to be a collaborative effort between the makeup, VFX, Cinematography and stunt departments. Hollywood la all stunt scenes are handled by a separate DoP called Second Unit DoP. Indian Cinema la overall-a ve oru DoP dhaan irukkaru. Plus most actors and directors are not willing to put in the time nor the effort required. Ranbir Kapoor is one such person willing to put in the work, but Sandeep Reddy Vanga isn't. Keanu Reeves went through extensive training for months to prepare for John Wick. We DO have such actors willing to put that time and effort into creating these violently beautiful and technically marvelous masterpieces. But the majority of directors, even new blood like Lokesh Kanagaraj, focus so much on showing as many guns as they can, instead of showing the impact one single gun can have in a knife fight. Btw for anyone out there, I'm an aspiring DoP looking to shoot something similar to John Wick, definitely DM me if you're interested!
