Just look at the visualization of the ad. Four women lounging with one man at the back. It looks more like a harem! Advertising uses subtle messaging to change our mindset! Subtle suggestions on how to celebrate Diwali. Remove the cultural symbolism (including crackers, remember) and make it hollow and meaningless. Then later say why even bother celebrating it!

It's not just about the bindi.It's also about the way the models are dressed, the clothes they wear and the way they wear them. Most of them look like kotewaalis/ courteasans, and sport a deliberate look of mourning on their faces. That must change as well.
Shefaliji, I commend you for standing up to foreigner and some of our locals who have been not showing respect towards our heritage. I would like you to take this campaign in educational institutes to bring awareness to young minds. It will help students to wake up and to take stand to protect our heritage.
