I salute to Shefali Vaidya for the support to cultural activity 👏 One more thing the scientific reason behind Bindi is that the centre of all brain cells are in between the eyebrows nearly and applying bindi press that cells and activate all the brain cells that is neurons. And yes, may be this is a reason for yoga. When we meditate, we focus on the centre of the eyebrows. So, it is just for a mental fitness. I'm an Indian and I'm proud of all Indian rituals and cultural and to apply a Bindi. (I'm not against of any religions. I'm just in favour of Hindu rituals.)

While putting bindi on her American friend's forehead she explained why bindi is put and what is the significance of pressing that part of the forehead and how Indians have this culture of putting tilak everyday while doing puja. I am ready to adapt goodness of other cultures and am very proud of mine.

When Kulbhushan Jadhav's wife went to meet her in Pakistan she was made to take down three things - Her mangalsutra, her bangles and her bindi. Only then she was allowed to meet her husband. That's why it is often said that others know far better about who we are, only we don't know it. If Pakistan thought Bindi was not exclusively Hindu symbol but a secular symbol they would never have made it mandatory for Kulbhushan's wife to take it down.👍👍 Defining ourselves with respect to others is the first step in preparation of a fight. If we don't know what our enemies think about us, how will we ever beat them?

Urdu is not full Indian language because Urdu is consisted of imported Persian script & Indian Devnagri script and mainly was used during Mughal rule...🙏 So Hindus can not use foreign Urdu in any of our Hindu festivals..

Today, number of women wearing a saree or bangle or even mangal sutra is becoming rare in urban centre , thanks to corporate dressing ...formal wear is increasingly western .. And to go with that u remove ur bindi , ur mangal sutra , and bangles ... bracelets is still an acceptable term.

No muslim would ever wear a Bindi, Visit a temple or eat prasadam from Temples or even a Gurudwara. But Hindus happily visit Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Abu Dhabi or N no. Of mazaar's by the roadside. Y is it so that only Hindu s have to be TOLERANT OR secular??

@Vi K All this gulab-jamum tehjeeb is a hoax. Salman Khan celebrates Hindu festival coz many of his family members are Hindus. and SRK’s celebrates as he married a Hindu woman. You shouldn’t forget that they often get abused on social media for following Hindu rituals. Recently Sara Ali Khan faced this on her Kedarnath’s trip.

I am a fan of Ms. Shefali. I watch her videos on Goa etc. I am happy she has started this topic. I wish this spreads in th TV serials also. The families are Hindu and the actors don't wear a bindi. Heroes say they don't like to go to temples etc etc

To prove secular credentials, hindus should give appropriate response by doing the same to other faith people (without violence) as is being done against Hindu culture.

Today, number of women wearing a saree or bangle or even mangal sutra is becoming rare in urban centre , thanks to corporate dressing ...formal wear is increasingly western ..
And to go with that u remove ur bindi , ur mangal sutra , and bangles ... bracelets is still an acceptable term.

I am from the UK of Indian Hindu Punjabi heritage. Your guest is absolutely correct in saying that Hindus are too tolerant and therefore have always suffered historicaly. Please india stop this tolerance nonsense. The world is a brutal place, and especially the Abrahamic religions see tolerance and Hindus as WEAK. Weakness does NOT gain you respect in this world. Here iin the UK the media constantly mocks Hindus and is very anti Indian. The enemies of India, whether internal or external will always take advantage of Hindu weakness to disrupt, cause division, and eventually destabilise India. I know this is only an ad campaign but it is a Diwali ad campaign and so respect should be shown. If such disrespect was shown for Christmas or Islamic festival like Eid then the corporate company doing the ad campaign would be crushed.
