the "dash" can be accomplished by hitting: "0" (zero key) and then the "alpha" key one time I believe. lmk if that works. I'm not in front of a terminal but I believe that is the correct way to do it.
How do you increase the font to make the receipt bigger?
Thank you for the video! I was able to change our address by watching your video in a matter of only a couple of minutes. I do have a question though: Our receipts print out "header 61" after our phone number and "footer41" at the bottom. I did not find that when I was toggling through the different lines to change. Can you shed some light or offer some tips? Thanks so much!
It's either a locked field or you're not in the right area on the menu.

I need to move my 520 from old business location to my new one. It’s a different modem and I tried doing it and it kept reading “no line” when I tried to run a transaction. We used the phone jack part and been using the last 10 yrs or so. So then I also tried an Ethernet cable hook up and still no good. Do you know if there’s any steps you have to take when moving it to a new modem? Thanks
Yes there's are things that you can do to troubleshoot.
To use the ethernet vs.the phone line, you'll need to program the machine to do so.

Is there a way to get rid of the "Description" line on both the merchant and customer receipts? Our terminal recently started printing the it above the signature line.
Is need to take a look at it to see what your talking about. There are multiple ways that a vx520 can be programmed so that matters in terms of what receipt prints out.

How to change language?
Once when you changed the company name on the terminal, will that new company name appears on the customers bank statement as well?
No it won't. You are referring to the descriptor and that would need to be changed at the "account" level and not just at the terminal. How to resettle account?
When I insert my debit card, a message display reconnecting N/W connection success. After some time it show N/w connection successful the after some time it show try again -54

Hey sir, can you tell me if the font size can be increased on this machine. I have a merchant that say if it can't be changed to bigger then he's going to cancel. Thanks for any help. I hope it can be done.

how to change ink
There is no ink in the verifone vx520 credit card terminal. It's a thermal printer which means that uses heat to print. If the printing element goes bad you may need to purchase a new terminal. But there are no printer ribbons that you need to replace.

You need to add it in the program load.
