The BluePrint is sold by Febi Bilstien ,but its only distributed in the UK by Blue Print ,but its actually made in Korea, its a clone of the GM Daewoo filters made by Mann & Hummel Korea,,its basically the same filter sold by Blue Print ,....the Blue Print is closer to a actual GM filter

I would have never guessed it was made by Mann+Hummel. They have certain characteristics that I usually can spot in their filters, regardless of brand name. Good Info, man, thanks

@@WhipCityWrencher it's basically a clone of the DongWoo Mann and Hummel GM Daewoo oil filter you cut open earlier that I sent last year, probably the media is slightly different on the inside instead to GM specs

Blue Print is Febi/Swag, their parts are among the best aftermarket in Europe but better use genuine GM filters in GM cars as they don't have much difference in pricing and offer peace of mind.
Mann is what i will choose in aftermarket filters, it's a company that only makes filters and related items so they have to watch out their reputation.

Mahle, FTW. Well made, more media area, coil compression spring and has the rubber collar around outlet hole to seal clean from dirty side oil filter. With no adbv in either to seal central area, something needed to do that. Blue Print looks to be metal on metal there, with the flat spring, not confident in the seal there. Too bad no published efficiency spec for either. Thanks for vid.

Mahle always had a great reputation and it seems they are maintaining their standing. The Blueprint looks to be finely made as well, no sloppy glue, etc. the 4 giant holes is kinda funky but it is nice to see them made in the UK. I'd take the Mahle as a first choice but if I didn't have a choice The blue print would be acceptable in a pinch, especially if all I had was the orange can of death. Curly Dog is a rock star. Thanks for sharing! Great Job, Pete!

The date code you point out looks like an old school "printer's key code" style for coding editions. That is where they remove a number each time they make a new run. If that is the case, then maybe 4th week of July 2023?

Just been researching filters for a small Kawasaki industrial engine - most of the Mahle filters were stated as having a 28 micron rating. Couldn't find anything for the Blue Print, other than they're about a 1/3 cheaper than the Mahle in the UK.
