To be honest, I don't think Jenny actually loved Forrest in the way he loved her. She cared about him, but I feel that she was also guilty of using him.
Yeah maybe it wasn't the passionate, all-consuming, can't even think straight when you look at me kind of love like Forrest had for her, but she loved him simply because he was the best thing in her life.
To me it just seemed she only wanted to marry him because she was dying and needed him to take care of his kid. I always wonder if she would have been ok if he would have ever known his son.

Look deeper. Being abused messes with your head. She felt like she did not deserve it. Look at her life and all the empty relationships. It's not that simple. She hated herself.

the AUDACITY of the ending of One Day. That shit made me ball it was so unexpected.
As soon as everything began to click and I saw what was coming in the end, I skipped through the rest of the movie. Sat their in silence and could not believe the audacity of the author of the book. 😂😭

I had read the book prior to the film's premiere so I knew what was coming, and yet I still sat in the movie theater in shock at how suddenly it happened. Devasting!
no but it was so unexpected my sister and I burst out laughing then looked at each other in shock. I felt so bad for laughing. Both of us then started crying.
Met my future husband at kindergarten. We've been friends for 18 years and then we've started being friends with benefits. Then we fell in love in Glasgow. Now (after 21 years) we're getting married. Love how everything worked out. ❤️

I wouldn't say Forrest and Jenny qualifies. He was obviously in love with her, but I don't think she was really in love with him. She friend-zoned him for pretty much their entire lives.
I disagree, I think she does eventually realize her feelings for him, especially after they sleep together and he proposes, but she doesn't feel good enough for him because of all the abuse she suffered from all the men in her life, except Forrest. Because of what her father did to her and her not being able to get help to cope and manage her trauma in a healthy way, she repeatedly dated abusive men because that is all she knew. She didn't know that all men don't seek to hurt you and that it isn't something to be expected. She had low self-esteem and did not think he could or should love her with all her flaws (even though in his eyes, she could do no wrong) so she stayed away. She most likely was just trying to protect him because she knew he thought the world of her and didn't want to shatter his view of how he thought of her, particularly as she got into drugs. But once she had their son and got the help she needed, she finally allowed herself to receive that love he always had for her.
That was the whole point of this video, to show friends who eventually become lovers.

@@mao1055 I don't agree either I felt bad for Forrest, she never gave 2F's about him in all honesty he was SUPER FRIEND-ZONED an Made out to be the village idiot whenever he was around her because she'd exploit his love for her but reject him at the same time an only for that "good life" she envisioned b4 the abuse an drugs, made her want that life Forrest wanted to provide ...but she felt like she didn't want him for The picture... until too late then she realizes she "loves Him" but she never cares to shown in nearly the degree to how Forrest professed his love

Love and Basketball, Some Kind of Wonderful and Love, Rosie are incredibly underrated. I watched Love and Basketball several times as a kid, and I'm sad that so few people talk about it. I didn't see Some Kind of Wonderful until this year at age 29, and I felt cheated at not having heard much about it as a teenager. This whole list is so good.

I love and watched half of these movies especially one day and the duff. One day got me crying so hard because of how sweet it was. Dexter and Emma were always there for each other and had feelings but never expressed them. I seriously love the character development and I wish they had their happy ending.

That's the main reason I clicked on this link but other couples I liked were also on this list: Monica Wright and Quincy McCall, Forrest Gump and Jenny Curran, Simba and Nala, Jenna Rink and Matty Flamhaff. I hoped that "Empire Records" would make your list. The rooftop scene with Corey and AJ is my favorite friends-to-lovers payoff scene. But, I'm happy you included "Some Kind of Wonderful," "What If" and "Love, Rosie."

@@harshthakur7641 Because thats how it happens in the book. I had a hard time believing Dexter deserved Emma. He was a POS, but I guess she was also kind of a doormat, but she loved him... So sad how it ended. :(

I had a friend. We studied together since childhood. She and I were very good friends. The two of us understood each other very well. Our mindset was often the same. I did not understand when I fell in love with her. But I never told her I loved her. Today she is married. She has a beautiful daughter . There is a beautiful family. I have not had any contact with her for a long time.I thought I would forget her. But I can't forget in any way.I miss her every time, every step of my life

Anne Hathaway's accent never bothered me on One Day; I don't get why so many critics hated on it. One Day was gorgeous and heartbreaking, the soundtrack was breathtaking, and it's one of my all-time favorite romantic movies.
She also gave a terrific performance as Emma, one of the best roles of her career imo!
"What if" is so underrated. It's much more realistic imo and I like it the most out of all these movies.

Love, Rosie was a surprise delight. I wasn't expecting much, but I like Lily Collins and I'm so glad I watched this movie. I now have it in my DVD collection. But I can't find a Blu-Ray copy. I wish they would release it in Blu-Ray some day.

Jose Adolf Don’t get me wrong, I completely agree with you. I was very pleasantly surprised. It was the first movie I thought of for this list. It’s one of my all time favorites.
Reality Bites is one of my all time favorites. I remember watching it after I graduate from college and I could totally relate with the story and the struggle of the characters bc like me, they were also fresh graduates who were scared to face the real world, and the uncertainty of the future. Not to mention, the film's soundtrack are so good it makes you wanna dance while watching the movie

We are just appreciating representation. Minority representation is rarely at the forefront. You usually have to search for it. We appreciate that people love each other and all kinds of love but it's great to see representation that usually is not at the forefront.
