It wasn't the game against Villa recently. It was the West Ham, Fulham and Villa games earlier in the season where they slipped up. We hadn't quite clicked at that point. 2024 has been a different story.
Fulham games alone, can't drop 5 points from winning positions.

Most Arsenal fans haven't realized yet that CIty don't drop points at the end of the season - they smashed Wolves and Haaland scored 4. Im an arsenal fan and as proud of the boys as i am this year ... its been an epic season and we have litrally blown teams away but we have still stumbled.

We had a chance to secure the league and in pole position but we crumbled and lost to villa and now that city are in pole and will win the league the pressure is off again and we are winning again..

Honestly, we were a different team last year. We were a bit fragile and didnt have the mettle to do it. This year you can see a maturing side and you can see the steel that rice has brought us. Man City are just so dam good. They are literally unbelievably good. Maybe next year. I cant see City slipping up in their last few games. Ive heard Spurs fans saying they would prefer to throw the game than help Arsenal win the league so I dont see them doing us any favours.

The aston villa game was when arteta started without both Jorginho and thomas for reasons still baffling to me, and i literally believe that decision cost us the title. Very strange and probably a classic case of overthinking, pep style. Just like starting the season with partey at right back…or not giving nelson any minutes while saka was running on fumes…However we have improved and arteta has got a lot right this season. Just not everything.

Remember football is not linear. Young players do not compoundly go up every year. Look at Martinelli, everyone thought he would be better as he ages but he stagnated this season. It happens to every young players bar the very best like Vini/Haaland/Mbappe
