Like him, he's always chewing them or bringing them around, going as far as to bring them to his marriage. When he says "surely we'll understand each other" he meant that they both shared a passion. This is top tier storytelling.
She's not there for the action, but for the length. She explains it herself, claiming that looking at long things reassures her of her own mortality over an unnamed illness, affecting how long she has to live. It's also evident in what brings her back to Tooru-kun as well, as she realised that he's the same length as Long Long Man - just segmented for easier consumption. Side note, the two being the same length makes for some clever foreshadowing to the two's pairing looking back!

Every couple of months I go back and rewatch this commercial serie and every time I appreciate and respect every damn detail placed into this. This is just a marvelous thing in every aspect. You have: - Identifiable characters, so you immediately recognize the commercial - A cheesy song, so it gets stuck in your head - A plot drama, making you think about the commercial long after it was shown to you But not only that, the more you watch it the more details you identify. Things like: - Short man is ALWAYS shown carrying the small bag of gummies - Chi-Chan ALWAYS drops something when seeing the real Long long man. - The "Long long man" song not appearing when Long man is not shown or referenced. (Commercial at 2:30 and 3:00 ) - All the not so obvious "long" references, like: - "I want to look at it longer" - The shirt on Long man at 1:31 saying "Long distance bike" - "Waiting for a long time" And my favorite of them all, you technically COULD see this plot twist from miles away if you analyze that Long long man is the ONLY guy that we see eat the gummies. Short guy carries them, but never eats them. Only Chi-chan does. If the gummies are a low innuendo about penis sizes and the Long man is the only guy we see eat them, you could deduce that he is gay right from the first episode. Awesome job Sakeru Gummies.
Daniel García The Long Long Man song does play for the commercial at 2:30 and 3:00. It’s just a variant stripped down to the main melody played on the piano in a different slow tempo.
There's also the fact that Long Man looks uncomfortable when Chi-Chan comes onto him in that third advert, which you might not catch onto upon a first viewing without knowing the twist.
I think there should be more commercials with a story. If there were more commercials with a story I would be more likely to buy the product depending on how good the story was, how good the humor was, or how good the ending was.

3:50 Long long man heard Tohru-kun's proposal to Chi-chan and was so shocked he let go of the balloons he was holding. This is when he knew it was his last chance to confess his love to Tohru-kun.
I just thought this was a series about a man stealing a mans woman from him with a tasty candy. Then I found out, it wasn't the woman he was trying to steal. 10/10 would watch this soap opera again.
I think the best part of this is that the co-worker who had a chart prepared in advance for some reason straight up said that the new product they're advertising is not only exactly the same as the old one, but also arguably worse.
So was this ad campaign split up over multiple weeks and only people who paid attention would have gotten the full storyline? This is so elaborate and goofy plus all those innuendoes just to sell a candy. I love it!
Is that not common where you are? Where I'm from there have been ad campaigns with stories that go on for years (not that they quite match up to this work of art)

But not only that, the more you watch it the more details you identify.
Things like:
- Short man is ALWAYS shown carrying the small bag of gummies
- Chi-Chan ALWAYS drops something when seeing the real Long long man.
- The "Long long man" song not appearing when Long man is not shown or referenced. (Commercial at 2:30 and 3:00 )
- All the not so obvious "long" references, like:
- "I want to look at it longer"
- The shirt on Long man at 1:31 saying "Long distance bike"
- "Waiting for a long time"
And my favorite of them all, you technically COULD see this plot twist from miles away if you analyze that Long long man is the ONLY guy that we see eat the gummies. Short guy carries them, but never eats them. Only Chi-chan does.
If the gummies are a low innuendo about penis sizes and the Long man is the only guy we see eat them, you could deduce that he is gay right from the first episode.
Awesome job Sakeru Gummies.
It's so good it made you do literary analysis on an ad
One little correction, in the second advert Chichan doesn't drop anything.
Damn that is deeper than the adult swimming pool.
I don't even know how the fuck I got here, but no complaints. This shit is hilarious! 😂
Tess Crelli Same bro. Same😂😂😂

I think there should be more commercials with a story. If there were more commercials with a story I would be more likely to buy the product depending on how good the story was, how good the humor was, or how good the ending was.

If you watch them individually they make sense, if you watch them all together they form a masterpiece
If you watch one randomly its like watching an anime and you don’t understand the storyline

That would be the happiest moment of your life, because the one person who really loves you is here to steal you away
This might legitimately be the greatest commercial (or series of commercials) in history.
3:50 Long long man heard Tohru-kun's proposal to Chi-chan and was so shocked he let go of the balloons he was holding. This is when he knew it was his last chance to confess his love to Tohru-kun.

This commercial series should get an academy award.

*New!* LONG LONG MAN CANDY NOW WITH CREAM INSIDE!

I just thought this was a series about a man stealing a mans woman from him with a tasty candy.
Then I found out, it wasn't the woman he was trying to steal.
10/10 would watch this soap opera again.

Same. I would rewatch it with friends too.

I think the best part of this is that the co-worker who had a chart prepared in advance for some reason straight up said that the new product they're advertising is not only exactly the same as the old one, but also arguably worse.
This is the best comercialidea that i have seen in my 36 years of life !! you people are realy great !!
